Machine Craps

Spread the love

while we are seeing less craps tables in casino, I think every casino that I was in during my last trip had one of these 6 player craps machine.

Many times there were no empty space at the machine. Do you think the people playing on the machines will want to move to the craps tables?

ACPA, my guess is probably not. They don’t understand the house edge in any of the games. Most people who play these craps machines are probably slot players and are intimated by the live game as they don’t understand it. At a machine no one gets upset if you make a mistake.

Hopefully the true craps players–both control shooters and chicken feeders– will not migrate to these machines.

I know the casinos would like to see more machines as the house edge cannot be beaten.

Just a few thoughts.

Lots of these players play real craps but do this to get more points.

How many out there have become 7 star in real craps?

Skinny Just a thought . They now have changed the point that you get from playing craps .Now you get ONE point for 80.00 play win or loose. That makes it four times harder to get points then before. So maybe other people thought the system was working even tho you thought it was worse then playing one way . The bean counters are at it again I guess.
O there a lot less players at the table now I love that part. I now get 4 points instead of 10 for the night.

ACPA I have talked to some of these players and they say they see their points add up were before on real craps they saw very little as far as points adding up.

Last visit at Bellagio in Vegas it had a sign on the Craps machines that says you don’t get any points/comps for playing those machines. Can’t remember the exact wording.

Haven’t really looked at other M Life properties. Maybe they all have those signs now. I don’t play the machines but it was of interest to me to see those signs as I walked by. Thought I would pass this on to those that do play on the machines in case you aren’t aware.

Saw a similar sign when I was at Orleans in January.

I guess if you want to learn how to play and only want to bet 1.00 doing it , will be a place to play. But here the 7 stars are mad that they changed the dollar in to point ratio. Also they changed the amount that you need to reach each level.

I have heard through the grapevine that there have been places where for whatever reason the comp accumulation that players got for playing these machines was set at a higher level. I believe that many of the places have rectified that error but I think that it would be prudent to continue to gather some info about them.

Were I play they went from 20.00 play to 80.00 play for one point. So I went from 12 points per day to 4 . But others have gone from 1,000 points to 100 per day. You need to realize that it counts coin in coin out period. No matter win or loose its all the same were in real craps you get NO points using the doey don’t way. .Just a thought.

There have been places that give DOUBLE credit for using the doey dont! These places knew that by making both bets you were not negating the house edge but doubling it. You were decreasing the variance however and this can be important in certain circumstances.
Ballys, when owned by Park Place would give you ratings on both bets but I don’t think that they still do now that they are owned by Harrahs.

They have changed the play again . Now you can bet more then 1.00 on pass line and come bet. The points are still one for 80.00 in or out of play .The new record is 43 rolls .

Down in Florida we only have the craps machines. Casinos are making a lot of money off of it. They don’t even give true odds.

I dont know the real math of the game like some on this site. But if you bet on the 6 or 8 and hit it they pay you 1.16 for your 1.00 bet which in a real game they would only pay you 1.00 if they let you bet it that way.
I think they changed their bets because they were loosing players that wanted to bet more then 1.00 .
A lot of the players have gone to Vegas now so they can bet more .
I don’t play the machines in Vegas at all . I prefer to play real craps . But then I do get little comps if any at all . Also the machines are different there.

$1.16 for a $1 place bet on the 6 or 8 is a 7 to 6 pay out. That is the proper pay out.

It increases the HA silghtly to 1.81% since it should pay 1.1666666. Still under 2%, but as usual the casino never does anything in the player’s favor. Unless they round up when you bet more ($7 on a $6 bet instead of $6.96).

Next time I go I will see what the pay out is on the 6.00 bet. It is a fairly fast game if nobody is betting .

I played the machines once and hated it. I make 95% of my points on real craps and am seven star (probably not next year) If you tip and treat the dealers good the pit boss 75% of the time give you good points. You get to know the bad pit bosses and just dont play when they are working.

You are so right about pit bosses .I was playing and went to rest room .After 2 changes in pit one came back that was there when I came . He asked me if I had gone any were since I was no longer in system. I told him that I went to the rest room but have been here since you left . He said that he would fix it . I said thank you and try to ask how long they have me down for when I leave now .

Machines are the wave of the future. I personally don’t like them, but they do have some good points. 1) No long waits between rolls, 2) on most machines buying the 5/9 is better than placing it (on a $5 bet you can squeeze out an extra 15 cents. Buying a $5 4/10 will get you an extra 50 cents. Most machines only charge the vig on a winning bet.

The machines I’ve played tend to be streaky, so I only play when the machine is hot.

Can you set the dice and throw them on your machine as the one I play on will let you .

This machine is Now Gone no more . Have you seen it any were else ? They replaced it with one that is in a glass box and you do not get to set the dice .
