The beautiful Alligator Rose and I had the opportunity to mentor refreshers this past weekend. I must say it was most satisfying to work with them. It was obvious that all nine that we worked with had been practicing and it showed in the skill that they had developed. Yes they did need a few small adjustments and they were eager to make the improvement–and they did. They should all do good.

Because of the class Rose and I do not get to play in the casinos as much as we would like. At times we were in the toilet as our throws were terrible. However toward the end we were starting to get in the groove and had some good throws. Rose had a couple of high teens and 2 in the 20’s The dice were starting to look a little better. When you use The Big Skinny (TBS), five count, and bet only the low house edges you can’t go wrong.

Our fun roll was on Tuesday morning prior to our departure. We were rolling with Goldfinger and JW. I was the only one who could get postition. I was at SL1 and a hefty young lady was at SR1 where Goldfinger and Rose throw left handed. I say hefty as her behind was two ax handles plus a tobacco can wide. She was not going to move or let anyone near her. She was setting the dice but throwing the dice in the corner by the dealer. My first touch of the dice was a nice little 9 roll (not long) but I did have 3 hits with only two bets on the table so make a little money. I was using TBS.

The dice came around again and the dice were looking pretty good. I was really banging out the 6’s and 8’s but mainly 6. The dice landed perfectly and stopped short after hitting the back wall softly on about 90% of the rolls. Yes I had a few lucky rolls. I did have one come out 7 but got back on on numbers pretty quick and was making money again. The dirty 7 did appeared again on roll 26. Not a monster but an excellent money maker.

Time to head to the airport.

Too bad that we could not get more of our GTC group in position. Goldfinger came down to my end of the table after the roll and I told him that the recovery on that roll had saved my behind–I cleaned this up for the board. Goldfinger said "since you saved your behind we should change your name from Dr. Crapology to Preparation H!!!" He is so funny.

There were other rolls–some good and some bad during our stay in Sin City, but the last one was the most fun. It is always great to leave Vegas a winner.

What an excellent weekend being with great friends and playing the game we love so much. Can’t wait for another game in the near future.
