standard distance?

I’m right handed so I believe that means i would be tossing from stickman left. Can anyone tell me the length of throw from this position to the back wall for both a 12′ and 14′ table? I want to ensure I’m practicing my toss from the proper distance. thanks!

Very simple …. split the table length in half and add 18". That means a 12′ table you throw from about 7′ 6", give or take a couple inches.

In our GTC classes, we measure out 8 ft for positioning of the throwing and receiving stations to simulate a 12 ft table. Add another 1 1/2 feet for 14 ft tables.

Let’s take a 12-foot table.
I’m a short person standing 5′-7".
There are 30 inches from the middle of my chest to my fingers
in a C-grip while my right arm is outstretched pointing to the
backwall. So standing at SL1 and throwing the dice, I release
the dice while my fist is past the center line if I stand at 8′ from
the backwall. No wonder the ‘stick’ tells me I’m passing the line,
sometimes.

Ok thanks! And how high off the ground do you set the throwing and receiving stations ? ie, what’s the standard height of the felt off the ground?

I am heading to Vegas tomorrow for class set up. I will measure our stations for exact height from the floor.
