FRANK,question, dosen’t it stand to reason that if in the five count you eliminate 50 percent of the shooters, then do what i do now,bet against them- and you will win 50 percent of the times. now lets take the 50 percent that the five count finds playable, play with them also. that way at the end of the night- you will be a winner like i am now. like always frank thank you for your time. The Darkside/Don’t player is not cutting the house edge. The very first placement of his don’t-pass (or don’t come) bet comes with the possibility of losing on the 7 and 11 (eight losses) and only winning on the 2 and 3 (three wins). That 12 is a push. The house edge on the Don’t comes from that first roll!

So betting on the Don’t player is almost the exact same as betting on the Rightside player. You have saved yourself nothing.

It gets even worse if you "lay" bets where the house edge starts to skyrocket.

You can’t play around with such betting schemes thinking they can help you. Sadly, they can’t. Just go with the 5-Count as the Captain teaches. It is the only way to reduce the hit on your bankroll short of not betting on any random rollers at all.

right on Frank!

People are always trying to make things better. The wheel can’t be reinvented. Stick with the way the Captain did the 5-count, learn and gain an edge with your throw, and all will be GREAT!

The 5 count just as the Captain taught Frank and he taught me has saved me a ton of money. Just do what Frank says to do.

QUESTION FOR THE EXPERTS FRANK/DOM/GODDESS/NICK/RANDY/GTC-INSTRUCTORS:

When Employing the Captain’s 5-Count shooter qualification mechanism, does one retest a player who passed on the 5-Count the previous cycle around the tabe, i.e. retest the random rollers every time it is their turn, or instead, if they get "approved" by making it thru the 5-Count, is that player free of the need to retest them the next time it’s their turn with the dice?? In Sept. at Harrah’s when I was playing using 5-Count and the old "Supersystem" do & don’t betting strategy, I did not retest the random rollers. Looking back on my results (using a $300 bankroll, I netted a profit of $40), I think I underbet my own times with the dice (even tho one hand was a 24 which for me was really good, since this was my first showing at a casino possessing some dice control knowledge and 700 practice rolls). Also I feel I overbet the random shooters who cleared the 5-count once (not retesting, which I now believe I did, altho I cannot find *any* advise on when/how to re-approve the random players via the 5-Count as the turn-as-shooter rotates around the table). I think I underbet my own turns with the dice, looking back it seems it would have been smart to double the come bet odds placed and the initial 6/8 place bets made. Perhaps after winning a 6 or 8 it would have been smart to remove the number not hit, and if my hand continues, doube the place number remaining in effect on the table. Then, supposing *that* hits, to then take down all place bets in play. But keep up doing one at a time come bets as long as my roll lasts. (Remember that a loss of $50 for me terminates gambling for that total session. And that my total vacation bankroll is <= $500. I am poor. If I eventually bet high it is after winning (say, doubling the $500, setting aside one $500 portion, and bet aggressively with the other equal amount). I am too low-income a person to allow myself to be careless regarding losses. This really cramps my style but hey, so far I have never ended a casino vacation with ANY monetary loss in the history of my life. (And won many $300 profits plus one $1024 profit). I am often inherently lucky AND I try to learn all that is within reach of someday controlling, with craps as priority 1 for at least the next 2 years. After that I’ll look around and assess my learning adventure and attempt with money winning along with it.

ANYHOW I THINK THE CORRECT ANSWER IS TO ALWAYS RE-5-COUNT THE RANDOM LIFE FORMS. EXPERTS, IS THIS WHAT YOU WOULD RECOMMEND I DO ? ? ? ?

Yes you use the 5-Count with all the random rollers every time they take the dice. You don’t figure since he made it rhough once that he is qualified the next time. He isn’t.

There is lots of info about this in past posts have you gone back and read old posts ?
Good Rolling. 😀 😀

I’m catching up on the old postings. That was my mistake then in Atlantic City. I never re-did the 5-Count for each Random guys turn at the dice, and lost too much of my winnings to them. The end result is a net win of only $40 for 3 long sessions.

Thanks for setting me straight!

lyster I am a believer in that I would not ask you to do anything that I would not do .That is why I tell ALL new to this site to go back and read old posts. There is a lot of good info in them. Plus you get a feel of how people feel about craps .
I have a question . Do you bet the pass line for every roller or just when you roll. I have come to the point of not betting the pass line except for two things. One is for the roller before me just in case they enforce the rule that you need to bet before your roll . Second if I know the roller.
This has saved me some money.
I also make only one or two bets on RRers. It some times takes a long time to change BAD habits.
Good Rolling. 😀 😀
