Read this article in the Review Journal, they say the route under the tunnel makes the trip about $26 as opposed to the direct trip of about $16.

We usually rent a car, but the last time was a short stay and we were told to take the buses that go directly to your hotel or 2-3 in the same area. We walked out of the luggage area and the booths were just outside. The cost was only $7 each way. We waited about 5-10 mins and were at our hotel in approx 15-20 mins after dropping after other folks at 2 other closeby casinos. We were told to call 24 hours for a pickup for our return flight, we did and arranged a time. The bus arrived and we paid the driver and were in lots of time for our flight.
Note: Only pay for one-way at a time, (same cost), as a couple on our bus had bought a return ticket from another company and had to pay again and get a refund from the first company.
A bit longer then a taxi but cheaper.
