Clark's Back on Top w/all tall small roll

Spread the love

Clark and I scored two comped tickets to Jersey Boys this evening. (WOW – what a show) Before the show we hit one of our favorite local spots and waited approximately 30 minutes to get our positions. Clark placed three dollars on the all tall and small only on his roll and after hitting the small he concentrated on the tall getting all numbers easily except the 10 seemed to elude him. He turned to ask me if he should change his setting, I said no, just throw the 10, AND HE DID!!!! Only two other players were with him on this bet. His roll was 36 with 16 box numbers so you know the junk was coming. We cashed out for several times our buy in and left the table. When one of us is ahead like that the other usually does not roll. We want to maximize our profit. As team players one of us usually has a profitable roll.

Since living in Las Vegas for approximately one year now we have learned to play and bet differently than when we were here on vacation. We now have the advantage of taking a win (whatever that might be), walking, and coming back another day.

The last time we visited this casino, I had the opportunity to roll the all tall and small.

Clark extends his thanks once again to Stickman for the GREAT tune-up.

Congratulations on your success, Clark (and you too, Lois). And thank you for the nice comment on the tuneup. Lois’ advice about changing the set was excellent.
Everyone can use a tuneup from time to time, whether something formal or even just having an expert critque your throw. As Clark has shown, the results can be impressive.

We do not have these bets in my area, so I have some questions as to how the bet is made and how the payout is paid.

Clark placed three dollars on the all tall and small only on his roll
It is my understanding that there are three separate bets:

Small(2,3,4,5,6) [/*]
Tall(8,9,10,11,12) [/*]
All(2,3,4,5,6,8,9,10,11,12)[/*]
I assume that Clark made three different bets.

Do they pay off the Small as soon as all of the numbers have been hit?
Did they payout on the Tall and Small occur immediately after the 12 was hit?
or do they make the payouts after the hand is complete with the sevenout?

His roll was 36 with 16 box numbers so you know the junk was coming.

Congratulations, A 36 is a 36 with or without the 20 Horn Numbers. Great if you are playing a Crapless table and Buying the extreme outside numbers.

Thanks CIII. You do have the numbers grouped correctly. You bet 3 different bets and they do not have to be the same amount. The payout is $35 to 1 on the small and is paid immediately after it is hit. The payout is the same on the tall $35 to 1 and is paid with the all immediately after all numbers are hit. The all pays $175 to 1. The total amount you get is $245 for the $3 investment. I only bet this on myself or Lois. It is a fun bet and has a high house advantage. I put $20 per session for this or the fire bet. Could I make more money on this $20 betting place bets. Yes I could, so don’t all pile on because I delegate a very small percentage of my bankroll to frivolity.

Some people think that interruption of the game would destroy the shooter’s concentration. In my case that was not so. The roll ended shortly thereafter becuse some dumb bunny tried insistently to squeeze in next to Lois with a $40 buy in. She successfully prevented this from happening, but the noisy chatter did distract me and the ugly appeared.

Hey…L & C…I know you guys like to play downtown and so do I. I’ll be in town for the GTC weekend in October. I’ll call or text and maybe we can hook up for some play. Good job on the junk bet! I like to plunk some down on the fire bet myself. I’ve only hit it once during a nice 39 roll hand…problem is, I didn’t have it bet. The crew showed good disruptive psychology by reminding me deep into the roll that I didn’t have the fire bet and was about to hit the complete array. I tried to banish the thought from my mind, but it did get to me and the nasty showed up soon after they started teasing me. Of course, it was still good, profitable fun. See you guys when I’m in Vegas, I hope.
