Small, Tall Bet

Sam’s Town in both Las Vegas and Shreveport offer these bet. The Small bet wins if the shooter rolls a 2, 3, 4, 5, and 6 before rolling a seven. The Tall bet wins if the shooter rolls an 8, 9, 10, 11, and 12 before rolling a seven. A win pays 34 to 1, or 35 for 1. The odds on both bets are the same as follows. The lower right cell shows a house edge of 7.76%.

[pre]Small, Tall Bets
Event Pays Probability Return
Win 34 0.026354 0.896033
Loss -1 0.973646 -0.973646
Total 1 -0.077614[/pre]

All Bet

Sam’s Town in both Las Vegas and Shreveport offer this bet. The All bet wins if the shooter rolls a 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 8, 9, 10, 11, and 12 before rolling a seven. A win pays 174 to 1, or 175 for 1. The odds are as follows. The lower right cell shows a house edge of 7.99%.

[pre]All Bet

I have not played this bet nor worked out the math.

I have accepted Wizards probability as the math to garner the probability is quite steep.

Not easy reading, but recommended by The Wizard and others.

So it is less than the hardways

Posted by: Guest on August 21, 2012, 12:37 am

Just an observation for a Hardway shooter…

You have to toss a 2 and a 3 to to hit the small bet.

You have to toss a 11 and a 12 to to hit the tall bet.

Hmmm I have never bet this bet . But if I did I would try to get those crap numbers on come out rolls rather trying during the roll for point. Hoping that it gets into a long roll .Or do you have to make all these numbers before the point?
This is 3 games right?
So right off the bat you are in the game for 4 games with out betting on any numbers right?
Then a come bet or place bets puts you in more games which the casino loves.
We must remember that the casino wins all games when the 7 shows. That is a great advantage.
I wonder how many times we have done this in practice?
Has anyone keep track of this out there?
Who keeps track of this bet at table?
When do you get paid?
Can you tell I am getting a little interested? 😀 😀
Good Rolling. 😀

It seems that there is a lot of discussion on Feature Bets(Fire Bet, Sharpshooter Bet, All, Tall and Small bets, Field Bet) lately.

I’m not a fan of Feature Bets, but it sure seems as if the Casinos are!

The best dice set(or dice landing without double pitches) for this bet and the Field bet would be:

[/tables] [clear][/clear]

If those are the numbers that you are landing, then I guess it would be a good(bad) bet.

I believe in the beggining the best set is the hard way set
.

When i am on the dice will both do the same thingie one click right 1/1 one click left 6/6 when taking the advanced classwe were taught that this is okay because the dice are both reacting the same and that is what you are trying to do it is a quality shot.

Now you have the tuffies out of the way with a little luck and if they do not come so be it you are still hitting primary numbers.

all of the feture bets requre luck!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

By the way your srr needs to be r upwards of 9+ to be attemping these bets!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Now if you are that good why not just pound the 6 & 8 and your come bets and make solid money all the time No one big score steady wins the race,

brothelman,

I have repeatedly stated that the only set that I use is the Hardway set!

My charts, graphs and tables in no way go away from GTC teachings.

The chart for this topic is headed Dice Set or Landing

Perhaps I should redo the chart and make it:

All i did was state how i play it.

This is one of those bets that you better be able to tell what your dice are doing to play it, in other wards be a very advanced student and willing to gamble a little.

Most advanced students are not willing to gamble at all!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

brothelman, We are probably agreeing more than we are disagreeing. I have not taken the advanced class, but would have asked the instructor for clarification on both dice reacting the same when tossing a 1:1 or a 6:6. I would like to believe that statement, but I don’t. It would make me feel better when I make a two die off axis toss.

brothelman said: When i am on the dice will both do the same thingie one click right 1/1 one click left 6/6 when taking the advanced classwe were taught that this is okay because the dice are both reacting the same and that is what you are trying to do it is a quality shot.

The 1:6 and 6:1 are also two die off axis tosses and the die are hard wired to have four two die axis numbers together. I can tolerate the 1:1 and th 6:6, but not the 1:6 and 6:1.
I do not know exactly what the instructor said.

[list=1]It could be:
[*]The 1:1 and 6:6 can be because the dice are both reacting the same.[/*]
[*]The 1:1 and 6:6 may be because the dice are both reacting the same.[/*]
[*]The 1:1 and 6:6 are because the dice are both reacting the same.[/*][/list]

I do know that the 1:1 and 6:6 can be tossed and landed with at least three completely different dice sets that are far removed from the Hardway set and landing. Both die are off axis and therefore must be on some other axis!.

The reason that I go to great length to study and read the dice is not to be confrontational, but to learn and gain useful knowledge. I posted those chart recently not to use up message board space or to make colorful charts, but to help all of us look at the dice tosses in a more logical and useful way. I know by the Replies and the number of Views that they were mostly ignored(One can gain this information on any post that they have made or answered by clicking on View your posts at the top of this page.

If you look at the chart that I posted on this thread you can see that you can not have a Hardway with that Set or Landing!(2-5, 3-4 axis). Have you ever had a long toss but found that you had not hit one Hardway? I have. Guess what… That may mean that both die were off axis! Easy to do if the pointer finger and the ring finger are weighing too heavy on the die.

I can not rember a roll that got past 15 where i did not throw a coule of hardways.

I have had hands that have been twelve to fifteen and made thousands because i tossed 6 to 9 pairs.

While palying recently with the contracter and get a grip i tossed a 18 and the contractor goes that was the most profitable 18 i have ever seen.

It is not uncommon for me to throw 2 or 3 1/1 or 6/6s in a row using the hardway set, all that means is that both the dice are going down there and hitting the pyramids the same the exact same and going one click to the left or right but the are doing the same thing off the wall, me personally that is what i want the same reaction off the wall by both dice, you can never get hurt when they do the same thing never never never, and when this is happening the dice hit the wall then stop dead on the felt no bouncing around just boom boom boom, felt wall felt, and that is it.

When you throw the piar of aces or the twelve do they hit the wall and stick or do they move around on the felt some what or is it a bang bang shot?

Ciii i agree that this bet is better for a randy due to the amount of different numbers you must throw,

I mean a controled shooter who is on will not throw more than four or five numbers on any long roll i have ever had as of late i normally pound two or three numbers, with the same combo.

Like when i threw the all all i had to change my set several times to produce the 3 4 2 8 11 it was a great roll i threw so many 42s,45s and 55s and several 46s but that was basically it.

Gtc doesn,t recomend changing your set, i mean to be able to focus on your throw and think about how i must set the dice to change my results goes against all we are taught and is very dificult.

Thus a random roller has a much better chance at this play because he is all over the place versus a controlled shooter throws limited combanations, and would have to change his set often to get the job done why not concentrate on what you are throwing and make bank the easy way repeting numbers, thus this bet is not recomened to anyone just like the hardways are not it has the same house edge or close to it.

But it shure is fun when you only need the eight and you set the 3v toss the 62 combo which you had set on top just a bang bang shot.
