Sensi Closed by Health District: We just learned via the "Eater Vegas" blog that the Southern Nevada Health District shut down an Asian food station at Sensi on Aug. 15 after the restaurant received a total of 27 demerits for issues including a lack of adequate employee toilets and hand washing facilities, using water from an unapproved source, improper hand-washing by employees, and foods not stored at the proper temperatures. The recent routine inspection follows one last December for which the venue received just one demerit, so we’re not sure what happened, but the discovery of an imminent health hazard called for the immediate closure of the restaurant. A call to Bellagio confirmed that the restaurant itself remains open, but will be closed from August 19-26.
