I was in a nice, high end Las Vegas casino where they check your room key in order to go to the elevators. I showed my key and walked to the elevators. A man came over and waited as well. When I got on the elevator he didn’t press a button. Neither did I. He waited and I waited. Then I pressed the wrong floor and he didn’t press anything. So I left the elevator just as the doors closed.
I don’t know. Am I being paranoid?

As a woman, I say always go with your gut in these situations. You can never be too careful and that is not being paranoid!

I realize that he did not punch a button but what if he had punched a button (before you punched yours) for a floor above the one you punched? You should do the same thing.
If you don’t feel right get the hell out.

Great move. Further, read Frank and Dom’s book Cutting Edge Craps, Advanced Strategies, Chapter 15, The Casino Isn’t Your Only Problem. You followed point number 14. There are great ideas how to handle several issues like you faced. Glad you are safe. Today is a good day to throw dice. 😀 😀 😀

Good thinking!! always be aware of others and their body language. If it don’t feel right, it probably ain’t.
