Help with Atlantic City casinos

Spread the love

I am hoping to go there next in the near future. But am confused a little. When I looked at crap conditions it said . Ballys then had the list of Park Place , Claridge and Wild West.
So is there no Ballys per say?
Which is better to stay at ?
On the web Ballys looks nice.
Thanks for any in put.

Ballys is basically three casinos.
The Wild West which is only open for table games on weekends
Park Place the main casino.
Claridge I am not sure if they ever open that casino anymore.

I have stayed in Bally but not for some time so I can not comment on the room. I suggest going yo Trip Advisor search the Forum or Hotel section for Atlantic City. I read it all the time they a wealth of information

Hmmm They have taxes and fees. I guess 39.00 is not bad but not like Vegas.

Recommend the three marina district hotels.
Borgata
Harrahs
Golden Nugget

Can not go wrong in any of them

I will be visiting AC for the first time later this month. I’ve got lodging arranged, but what I can’t seem to find is a convenient listing of table minimums, maximums and odds for the various casinos. I won’t have a lot of time to go around and compare, so a list would be nice to start with. Also, any "must see" parts of the board walk for the tourist in me and my wife would be nice also. ❓

Thanks for your help Skinny and Bretboy1. The comparison list is really helpful and the specific AC "tourist" info helpful also. Any additional info you can email me would be helpful as well. Looking forward to the trip.

Thanks for all your help on info about AC. My wife and I enjoyed last week end at AC. It was a bit hot, but we spent our afternoons on the beach under an umbrella or body surfing in the Atlantic, and you can’t get that at Vegas. I scouted out out several casinos and hit one at 7 am two mornings and made enough to take the wife to nice dinners in the evenings. One morning was a weekday and the regulars were there on canes and the pit boss brought over chairs for them. It was funny and you really felt like you were a bar where everyone knows your name. 🙂 For dining, I can recommend Harry’s at Bally’s for seafood, SeaBlue at Borgata (a little pricy but their pate and terraine appetizer is outstanding), and the intercontinental at Ceaser’s pier at lunch or dinner.

When i was at AC, i was the only one tipping the crew at the tables. Does no one tip the crew on the east coast or was my experience unusual?

to get away from craps a little what does a royal pay on a VP machine ? ( .25 one ).
Thanks for any input.

Naural Royals pay 4,000 so on a quarte machine would be $1,000.00

Finisher, go here for current craps conditions. The list will give table lengths in AC, to answer your question.

MNLakes,
There is very little tipping in AC, that we can see. Mid-week AC is geriatric village, so perhaps they either don’t know about tipping, or feel they can’t afford it. In many casinos in AC during the week you will see many players sitting on chairs, Sandtrap (for heart failure) and myself (for degenerative arthritis) included.
