Sand Paper

Spread the love

Well this is new I think .But maybe not.
My wife complains ALL the time that I have hands like sand paper. So for the next two weeks I will put some cream on them before I roll and see what happens.
I really never gave it any thought till lately.I guess it could affect my throw.
When I got my last job I had to have my finger prints taken. I had to go to the police station were they take them all day long every day so they are good at it. It took them 3 tries before they got one good enough. The guy said that if he did-en know better he would have said I must of tried getting rid of them.LOL
So maybe there is some thing to this?
Good Rolling. 😀

Interesting post. I too had some rough skin on the tips of my fingers. I tried lotion prior to rolling but found that my fingers were greasy and the dice would slip out of my grip. Don’t do that any more. I do three things:

1. To releave the cracking, I put a lot of A & D ointment on my fingers prior to going to bed at night. So that the ointment stays on my flingers and does not get all over the sheets (The beautiful Alligator Rose does not like this) I put on a pair of white cotton work gloves and sleep with them on. My fingers are now very soft.

2. In order to keep my fingers dry at the table (in practice and in the casino) I use a produced called Grip Shield–you can order at <www.sweatshield.com>. I place a small drop on the end of my middle finger and rub it between my thunb and my 3 fingers which covers the 3 finger grip. It only takes an extremely small amount and the bottle will last pretty near forever. Caution: do not use at the table as the pit boss may go ballistic. Put the liquid on in your room or in the bathroom. I once had a dealer who was in the bathroom ask me what I was doing I told him that the skin on my fingers were cracking and the solution helped.

3. Place a dryer sheet (bounce in the orange box seems to work best for us but any brand will do) in your pocket. If your hand feels sweaty while throwing you can easily reach in your pocket and dry off your fingers and thumb.

Just a few idle thoughts that work for us. Hope to see you soon in the casino.
