First off, I wanted to say thank you to the GTC crew for a wonderful and helpful class. It was a great experience and I can’t wait for the next one.

So after class I had about an hour before I had to head to the airport. Feeling good about my throw after placing a close 3rd on the box number challenge, I walked over to the nearest casino and low and behold sl2 was open. That is my spot I like to shoot from even though we were taught to shoot from sl1. My biggest problem in the class was my backswing being too much so I knew I would be fine at sl2.

I had to wait a few shooters before I got the dice so placing a $10 bet on 2 of the 3 shooters I was already down $20 before it was my turn to shoot. Once I got the dice, I placed my $10 bet, along with $1 on top and $1 on the side. The dealers seemed real appreciative of the bets probably because no one else had been tipping from what I have seen. I set the hardway and rolled a hard 6 but the dice did not hit the back wall. I’m thinking to myself, all great they are going to say something to me right off the bat but they ignored it and gave the dice back. I went on to hit 4 box numbers before I made the point.

On the come out, I went ahead and set for the seven and went on to hit three 7’s in a row. The guy on sr1 had seen my throw and had all the hardways bet and on the comeout, he had placed a bunch of prop bets and was getting paid on the 7’s, so he was ecstatic. The next point was an 8, hit a few box numbers, a couple of hardways and then 7 out. I was up about $50 at this point but the money didn’t really matter to me, I was just really happy that I had took what I had learned and put it on the line at the casino and executed it.

I got the dice back a few shooters later, unfortunately gave back some of my winnings, made a few dollars on my 2nd throw and then it was time for me to go. All in all it was a good session, not from the money aspect but the experience aspect, getting my feet wet for the first time after learning the proper way to controlling the dice.
