Well 8 days went quicker than i thought.
Saturday night met Bman and Frank and contractor, Wildman, Frank and the wives. Was fun, and enjoyed it
. Went to bed in the plus.
Sunday was great, Bman had an oustanding roll of 5 points or so, Frank added a 28 and we all met for
lunch.
Sunday night had a date with Lois and Clark downtown, Sue and i headed there and i was playing when they got there. we had couple of nice rolls and again went to bed in the plus colume. They really
like to play and it was a great relaxing session. I took third in
poker tournament which added to the kiddy.
Monday was mixed bag, had couple of short rolls with Frank, I had one losing session and 2 wins plus a
2nd at poker in the evening so it was a good day.
Tuesday was a different day, Sue woke up very sick so i took her to the clinic and it was closed so we
ended up at the hospital on Silver Springs rd. It was not a pleasant time, all the beds were full, people in the halls, They took a number of tests and said she had the flue and treated her for awhile. the room had 12 recliners and that is where the patients layed, they did final on Sue and he heart was still fast so they wanted to keep her , but i asked where is she going to go, back to the recliner and they said yes. they wanted to give her morphine for her headach and i asked then what, you going to give her more if it comes back???
So i asked for something less potent and took her back to the hotel with some medication. She went to sleep and i checked on her every hour and she was sleeping good , at 11 pm check she was up reading and feeling
better but not good enough to stay out so she said go play with the guys.
Two friends got in from Wisconsin at 10:45, Tom said he as heading over so i met them there at H’s
Dave and Spacey were already down $1000 and ticked off. Neither Bman or I did much, we switched
tables and it was no better, i was not throwing well. Doug had a nice roll and got up some back and Bman
headed home. I had another point 7, and went to bath room, but really i just sat down and went over my throw, it just did not feel or look right. I guess i was not getting over the table enough like Bman does so my throw not a straight follow through. Got the dice back and got over the table and had a great 36 with 11 hardways and 5 hard 4’s, the boys got most of their money back and i was ahead. I headed back to F for a poker tourney. I won that so it was a good ending to the day.
Thursday was an awful day….. met the boys at 12:30. two were already down $2000 , we headed to IMP
and broke even, i like the 12 foot table at another place so we headed there, one had my spot the other did not so i headed there, freind wanted the other table. we lost and every 7 out he jerked back from the table like some one died. So it was my fault for picking the wrong table. that is to much pressure for me to throw so i decided to go my own way. I felt bad
but i cant throw like that.
I won another smaller poker tourney and felt good so i head down to Par and the sweet 12′ table they have…..
it was a nice decision, had couple of ok rolls and a very good roll with 6 points, 4 to the fire bet.
Friday Sue and i did not do much, just some site seeing, had a nice roll at Mbay, nice supper .
Saturday went down town to meet the boys… i was carring my craps shoes in a pouch i have. Watched
the badger game, and then i walked up the guys and one asked the other what is in gordy’s bag, the other smerked and said that is those stupid shoes. .
It is a little hard to try to get better at dice control while playing with guys that dont believe in it or think every roll is supposed to be a winner.Either i dont handle that well, or it is situation that cant be handled well, anyway playing under those conditions is not working for me.
Sue and i walked over to PL and finished our trip with a very nice roll.
Some big guy walked by and said nice roll, say hi to Frank.
All and all it was a mixed bag, i did well at poker and ok at craps, some nice rolls, to many 7 outs, but signs of progress, I really enjoyed playing with all th GTC folks, that is surely a plus and Sue and i always
have fun together.
I would like to say i came home ahead over-all but i did not, black jack was bad and you spend on food
and travel….. but it was a nice 8 days
Looking forward to next trip which my wife said is next month. and i always listen to my wife.

Great trip report. Sorry Sue fell sick, but glad everything worked out OK. Your stepping back and thinking about and correcting your throw is so you. Always, figuring how to improve, and sharing your knowledge with GTC’rs. Some just don’t know how your special shoes give you another advantage so they just laugh. Their loss! Great you’re back home. Good Luck-see you soon. 😀 😀 😀 Set44

Sorry to hear about Sue’s illness. It is bad enough to be sick when you are at home but to be ill in a strange location without the medical people and facilities that you trust is really awful! 🙁
Sounds like it was the best thing possible to walk away from play when your friends were getting in your head. That is unfortunate but it happens.
Hope to meet up again with you in the future and good luck on your GTC journey! 😎
