Hop The Seven.

Spread the love

Just wondering what is the proper way of hoping the seven, without actually saying it and upsetting the players at the table? Is Big red an option?

would appreciate any input. Thank you.

You are not talking about on a come out roll? Probably wouldn’t upset the table then. With the house advantage on the bet the casino would love you.

I just say hop the 7’s if it is the comeout. Everyone wants a win to start. You could say hop the skinnies or hop the big reds. I set the 7 on the comeout and hit from 30-50% and sometimes higher. If I have made my point and have any other bets up I say hop the skinnies but just for the other players because I am not superstitious.

My adviced, simply don’t make the hop the seven bet. The house vig is way to high —somthing like 16%.

Thanks for the input. Yes I was referring to the point cycle not the come out roll.

PrinceT—4 to 1 is the correct pay but it should be 5 to 1. In the drivers seat??? I don’t think so. You lose 5 times and win 1 time on average and only get paid 4 to 1. Looks like you are sucking wind to me.

I think that most people when you hop the 7 think it is a bet on all ways that the seven can come out which is more money. If you say a dollar on red nobody thinks any thing about that. Not vary much notice is given to that bet. But the hop 7 is a little different because on some tables there is no place on the lay out for it.
It seems that really not to many people care what you bet unless you are with a lot of controlled shooters.I have even seen when the dealers have been confused about some bets.
just my .01 worth.

The hopping seven pays 15 to 1.

I was starting to wonder.

Hop the skinnies. Got it. What about a $1 bet on the hop 7 after you make your point. This would be on the next come out roll and hedging your come bets. A 15 to 1 payoff would more than cover your come bets even if you had all six numbers covered.

Sorry, meant to say $5 hop the seven. 😕

I think 2-5 6-1 4-3 for a 3 dollar bet but I may be wrong.

Cmcierra,

Consider several things. If you are throwing with friends and they come bet but don’t hop the 7’s too then you wipe them out if you hit. You must set for the 7. Bet $1 on each of the 3 possibilities 6-1, 2-5 and 3-4. Lastly practice this at home first.

Good rolling
