I played the other day with a great group at the table. Just scout the table before playing.I had a nice long roll. Locked up a win and walked away.
There were some seedy types but that is found at most of the boardwalk casinos. Just look at Ceasars there are bums sleeping at the slots and washing in the men’s room.
There were no gang angers as I have seen at other places. Harrahs Marina has on occasioned looked like the Bloods were holding a meeting there
The casino with the lowest limits is best to transition from home practice to the casino

If you bet $6, you should be allowed to take 30/30/50.

Do you have a Harrahs Total Reward Card? If so check out their website as they a few good casino/hotels and a bus that travels between them.

The logic behind all this goes back to when they had single odds and $1 minimums. You could not make an even money pay out if you had $3 in odds behind the inside numbers. So they allowed 3/4/5 in odds behind a three unit bet so that the pay out was an even dollar amount.
On a six unit bet the pay out on the 5/9 would be an even amount with single odds so they did not have to allow you to bet more. 6/6/10 are the lowest in odds you need to make even dollar pay outs so that is what is allowed.
When they increased to 2X, 3X and 5X odds they continued the concept. But with 10X and greater odds they don’t because 10 units have even dollar pay outs.
Does that help you understand how it all started?

Because when you bet $6 in odds on the 6 and 8 it should pay $7.20 and they can not pay that amount. $10 is the first amount that pays an even dollar amount. $10 in odds pays $12 on the 6 and 8.
But $6 in odds on the 5 and 9 pays $9 which is an even dollar amount.

Is it correct to say when you have 5x odds a $10 player playing on a $5 table would be better off betting $9 with 45/60/75 odds vs a $10 bet with 50/50/50 odds.

The HA on a three unit bet with max odds on 5X table is 0.25%.
The HA with straight 5X odds is 0.37%.
It is good to push the house with three unit bets if your bankroll can afford it. But straight 5X has a pretty low HA.
