Spread the love

Some of my GTC friends may recall I posted a little while back that my son wanted to join the U.S. Marine Corp. Matt turned 18 in December. He has talked about it since graduating from HS last June. He said he wanted to be a marine since he was eight yrs old. My wife was totally against it. I have mixed feelings.
Well, long story short he took the oath this passed Friday. He goes to basic training around the beginning of the summer.
At this point I can only hope and pray that he has a fulfilling and safe experience.

Had a nephew do the exact same thing. He spent almost a year in Alganistan, then on a boat in the Mederiterian during the Libya civil war and returned some safe. He gets out in March. A great experience. He also got the best training in the world for the responsibilities he had. He went in a boy and returned a man. Be proud. Alligator Rose and I will thinking of him (and you and your wife) while he is in the service.

The forum software we use for the new forum, phpBB, does not have a built-in spell checker.

Many new browsers, such as Google Chrome, have built-in spell checkers that will work with the message text boxes in phpBB (but IE 8.x does not).
