Just trying out the new site. Trying to get a feel for it. I’m trying to figure out the whole avatar thing.

Welcome to the new forum Ron. It’s completely different, so it will take some getting used to for folks. But, there are tons of new features, including these avatars.
You can set your avatar in the User Control Panel (link in top left). You’ll have to have a suitable small iconic image stored on your local computer somewhere, to upload (max 90×90 pixels.)
If you have any problems, take a peek in the ‘FAQ’ section, linked in the top right. Failing that, post or e-mail me for help:

Thanks Dan, it definitely seems like it is going to take some time getting used to. I am just exploring for now but I will definitely ask if I need some help, thanks again.
