Due to a PET/CAT scan Monday morning for Sandtrap, we picked Jack up on the way to AC, and arrived in the afternoon. We had not been able to get to AC the entire month of October due to Sandtrap’s chemo treatments and our trip to Las Vegas. Most of our regular dealers knew about Sandtrap’s cancer, but hadn’t seen him with a shorn head. There were many greetings and hugs in the afternoon as well as the next morning, and he was told by many that they were praying for him. We really felt like we were part of a family.
Our rooms weren’t ready, but our spots were available, and we each took four turns with the dice. For each of us, three of the rolls were very low. Jack had one 18 roll; Sandtrap tossed one 10 roll; and I got us all on the profit side with a nice 36 roll (many 6’s and 8’s). After dinner, we again took four turns each. Jack had rolls of 19, 7, 4, and 11. Sandtrap’s rolls were 3, 4, 14, and 12. My rolls were 10, 10, 15, and point 7. We all went to bed with a profit thanks to my morning roll. (My evening rolls gave me a profit, but not much for my teammates.)
Tuesday morning was really rough for Jack and Sandtrap, who only managed one 10 roll each. I had a great morning with rolls of 17, 27, 6 (all 8’s), and 24. Even one of the dealers said, "I think she’s in her zone." After lunch we threw three times each. Jack had one 13 roll, and Sandtrap had rolls of 2, 15, and 12. My back hurt, and I didn’t manage to do anything. We also played Pai Gow, of course, where I received a four of a kind ($125), and Jack was rewarded with a Royal Flush ($750). He was a very happy camper! After dinner, the tosses were a bit better for the men: Jack had 13, 8, 13, and 15. Sandtrap had a 6, 15, 8, and 16. This wasn’t my night. I had rolls of 6, 19, 5, and 8.
Wednesday morning we met up with Butcher. There was only one other player, but unfortunately for us, he was very loud, drunk, and obnoxious . The guys threw seven times, but I sat out most of the time. I had one 12 roll, but really couldn’t focus. Butcher managed rolls of 15, 11, and 17 out of the seven. Jack had one 12 roll. Sandtrap’s best rolls were 15, 20, and 15. One CF had a 26 roll with ten 5’s! Since I started with a come bet and landed on the 5, I managed to get six hits on it. The shooter also made two or three passes, but he was betting the "all seven’s," so he hardly made any money on the roll. The dealers couldn’t believe it.
After lunch was really my time for shooting. My rolls were 19 (with six 4’s), 4, 24, and 37! I was ecstatic, to say the least. I had been working with Sandtrap’s follow through, and he had rolls of 11, 8, 18, 10, and 14, so he was happy. Jack had one 14 roll. Butcher started off well with an 11 and a 19 roll, but then he petered out. After dinner we had three rolls each. Jack tossed a 10, 16, and 8. Butcher had one 13 roll. Sandtrap had one 15 roll. I managed a 9 and a 13 roll. Another round of Pai Gow gave me another four of a kind for $125. (N2S, ready for some Pai Gow?)
Thursday morning Butcher actually was down before us, and was at SR1. An acquaintance was at SL1, but he readily gave the spot to us, so it was virtually an empty table. With five turns at the dice, Butcher’s best tosses were a 13 and a 22. Sandtrap had an 18. Jack had a 13. My best were a 10, 26, and 14.
We returned home for more chemo and Thanksgiving, and await our next trip.
Happy Thanksgiving everyone!
