Becoming The Advantage Player

Spread the love

I don’t want anyone to think I am preaching on here when I express my thoughts. After practicing and reading and playing for the past year and one half, and then taking the Primer, I am at times thinking out loud in my transition as a Advantage Player. Thinking out loud helps it all sink in. One thing that has changed for me is I am not bothered by a loss because I have my 401G setup for one. And second I learned on the last few days of my Primer/Vegas trip and back home that if one table doesn’t work move to another and that COME will return your earlier loss. It’s not gone forever if you are consistent and use the rules as guidance.

Found this quote by ( Stickman) on a web site recently.

"Some Golden Touch Craps students have to constantly wage a battle between the old gambler that they once were and the advantage player they are becoming."

Yup, Thats me.

Cotton,

You nailed it. It can be a tough road to converting from the gambler you once were to the advantage player you will become. There are several keys to this process.

1. Have an adequate 401g /bankroll or as Rose and Doc call it "our stash" to fall back on.
2. Know when to quit a particular table or session when you have one–it happens to all of us more frequently than we would like.
3. Falling back into the old gambler we once were. This one will disappear in time with dedication that we know you have.
$. Getting greedy, making bad bets, chasing losses, etc.

There are do doubt others but you have made some large steps to becoming an advantage player.

Hope to see you soon.

I usually say that when you walk out of more casinos that you play in that you are almost undoubtedly an AP.

I am trying .It does take some time to get rid of BAD habits tho . I still love rolling the dice to much . I guess that if I played more often I would play less . Ha Ha . I get to play about every 3 or 4 months since in my state there is no real craps . Some times it is longer tho . LIKE we do go were there is no craps for 3 months some times on vac.
I now play only when my spot is there . I bye in at right time . Still working on other things tho . It is a JOURNEY .
Good Rolling. 😀 🙂
