Craps

The quest for that perfect toss

Spread the love

You pick up the dice, look down range. With a consistent swing, they roll of your fingers as you let em fly. The dice land down the end of the table and, after bouncing off the wall, they come to rest with not too much extra activity.

You think to yourself, "Man, they felt good leaving my fingers". You look down the other end of the table, a hardway. Just another sign that it was a good toss.

Now you’re thinking, "if I could only repeat that exact motion". Maybe you do get that second hardway, maybe not. That’s the chase we’re all after.

Many years back the great Green Bay Packer running back Paul Horning was caught during the season coming out of a night club with a beautiful blonde on his arm in the wee hours of the morning. "Paul, how do you do it?," the reporter asked referring to Horning’s ability to excel both on the field and at partying. Horning winked, grinned, and quoted his famous coach Vince Lombardi: "Practice, practice, practice!

Catch you later!

Hey Wow,

Nice post. You are correct that is what we are chasing if we learn, practice and actually use the correct grip, throw, bank roll and betting strategy. That is what we all strive to do.

As to Paul Horning, I have not had to use his practice, practice, practice strategy regarding blondes in years since I was so fortunate to meet Alligator Rose over 50 years ago. Lucky me. But for craps, I do practice, practice, practice.
