Doc has a standard comment when something like this is said. I simply reply "yea, I’ve read about him in a book I bought at a use book store. Don’t know if it helps but it can’t hurt. I probably paid too much for the book!!" And then I laugh.

Rose simply says, " My husband read about this somewhere and taught it to me."

Either of these types of comments always gets a laugh from the crew and I continue on.

Similar situation happened to me here in New Mexico. Standing at an empty table, just me shooting at SL1.5, and I was on what I would call a good roll. I was about 18 rolls into a 25 roll hand, and the dealer across from said, “are you a Golden Touch shooter”, I replied, “What is that?”, he then goes on to tell me all about what he thinks is Golden Touch philosophy and shots and bets, I look him eyeball to eyeball, and said “ I have no idea what your talking about” he then says, “Oh ok, just by the way you shoot and the way your bet it looks like you have been to one of those classes”, me with a puzzled look say “naw I ain’t done that, I been shooting dice for 20 years and just learned these techniques from studying and practicing” he then drops the subject. I head away for a break, come back a few hrs later and the same dealer asks again, this time he’s more persistent “Are you sure you have never been to a Golden Touch class?” I then say “what is that?”, he goes through the whole spill again, this time he says, you have never heard of “The Dominator”, of course I can’t lie about this one, and say I have, “ isn’t he short little Italian guy that supposedly calls his shots and is the best in the world” he says “ yeah that’s the guy” I say” I never been to his class but I saw him on TV”, he says “well you shoot just like the guys that have played here and went to his class, you even used the 5 count and you only come bet”, at this point I was like “oh shit, I’m busted and I’m fixing to get invited to leave, with no return request extended, but nobody said a word and I had 3 good hands 25-25-30, won some money and left without a hassle….

I was at planet Hollywood this week and the stick man asked me if I’ve taken a class. He said the way you set your dice and throw are just like the Dominator. I have to say I took a little pride in that statement, lol. However I just replied, nah I watched a couple YouTube videos before I came out here. I don’t know if they are gonna work, but I’m giving it a try. After that the guy was very pleasant, he kept trying to get me off the big skinny, with betting tips. I just told him I’m gonna give this way a try today, but I’ll take his tips for tomorrow.

You certainly handled the dealers comments very well. Everyone on this web site should have what he/she will say when this happens, because it will happen sooner or later. Also a few tips always helps.

Will post this again in my Trip report but, was recently at a Casino near the boardwalk and the stickman yelled out "Hey you throw the Golden Touch Way!" I said "Never heard of it, sounds like a porn site.". Exactly at this time I noticed the Pit, gave me "The side eye" and entered something in the computer. I try not getting into the habit of being paranoid, like BTK but I recognized the Pit from October, after a GTC class got the same side eye when I was at a busy table with other GTC students. I spent over 12 hours at this and its sister casinos (TRs) and my comp dollars did not move past $2 while at other casinos I would earn at earn $2-$3 an hour. I am a little disappointed at this because I tip and believe there are at least 2 Pits in these related casinos that will mess with your comp dollars for being part of the GTC family. The tables I played so far are not part of my Targeted tables where I have a 95% success rate. I am tempted in the future to go back and wear sunglasses, GTC hat and T-Shirt and not give my rewards card and hit the firebet a couple of times when the table becomes part of my 95% success rate inventory.

PS:My Targeted Tables I spend extensive time doing analysis and note taking on the reaction of the dice until I have a consistent throw.

Yes, I guess one gets more bees with honey, thats why I will always tip because the stick and crew makes it a better game most of the time. As for the Comp thing, I am still scratching my head over it but don’t want to set off any alarms.

I’ve had a similar experience 2 or 3 times. I just say that I have seen some youtube videos – which is the truth – or I say nothing. One stick person leaned back and said "Your up on your tip toes just like the guys that have taken the class". That was the end of it with no further discussion and no heat.

This works for me:
"My uncle George taught me craps. He recommend that I throw this way because I had a habit of throwing it over the table and maybe he probably watched YouTube videos and read some books, but then again he also believes in the existence of alien beings living among us. But, I love my uncle George and out of respect I will throw like him even though I don’t believe in aliens and flying saucers… Then after making a point I might shake up the dice and throw like a c-fer for one or two throws. "

Results:
1) The box man stops staring at me.
2) There usually is no more discussion about dice control

What Doc says to the pit crew—I simply tell them that I read a book but that I probably paid too dam much for the book. That usually shuts them up.

When I get questions like this or on other subjects that I don’t want to talk about I will answer like I am answering a completely different question. Are you here for the class? No we ate at the buffet this morning because we didn’t like the cafe. Usually what happens is they will ask again in a slightly different way and I will say something about the buffet and after that they never bring it up again.
The way to avoid most of this is when you come to the table start the dealers in a conversation that will keep them busy talking about something else. In Vegas always use football during the season asking about their bets. In Spring and Fall golf is a good one. You can start by asking leading questions about their day off and what they are going to do etc.
