In another thread, Mr Pip asked a question to which, I too, am interested in hearing your replies: At what point is it time to take your winnings and leave the table?
My stop loss is 2 buy-ins in any session. I know that’s time for me to take a long break and a nap, then some practice back in the room.
My stop win is not so cut and dry. Last Sunday night, I tripled my buy-in plus $100. I did not know that exactly, since I dislike counting my chips at any time. That would either give me reason to worry or gloat, neither of which is conducive to my throw.
Instead, when my hand ended, 1) I could see I had a lot more green than my buy-in, 2) my son, RTAmerica, had left for his flight and I was missing him, and 3) this moron at the end of the table thought he had juju (he would weirdly wiggle his hands at the shooter during the throw). That moron was 1 of 4 at the end of the table on my side, SR, and they liked to throw. I thought, "Why should I make them any more money?" With all that, I said, "Color up!"
I just know when I’m done. After all, I can always come back. I think, though, if I had a 50+ roll, that would be the time for me to color up. I’ll let you know when that happens.

Roughly 3 turns with the dice or 1 hour at the tables is a general rule of thumb for deciding to leave. Advantage craps play is a physical skill that requires peak physical condition to be executed at your best. Your body will tire long before you are aware that you are not able to perform at your best.
Adrenalin flows thru the body when playing craps, especially when you are shooting. Once your turn ends, it leaves your body and you will no longer be at your prime. But you will not feel it at first. It may not hit you until you leave the table and go someplace to relax. Even then you may not notice the change, but it does impact you.
It is better to play several short sessions after resting sufficiently in between than staying too long at the tables.

I buy in for 200.00 and try not to loose that . If I do I take a break or go good night . There is another day .
It will depend on a lot of things .
I for one play way tooooo long at the tables . Since were I live there is no real craps play I stay to long . I have changed that a little since I am getting older .I do take more rest room breaks tho . On my next trip will try harder on this part of our game . But some times it is hard to leave if I am the only one at the table after 3 rolls of dice . Three rolls can go by fast if you are the only person at table . So I go by the way I feel more then any thing .
I think of a session as when I bye in . May do two sessions in one day or 3 . If I ever get better at this I will increase my bye in but try not to re-bye in .I think that it is better to take a break and think things over .
If things were like you said I would leave like you did . Great job at being an advantage player .
Glad that you had a GREAT time with your son .
Good Rolling. 😀 🙂

As Skinny said, when I go too long, I have felt most of my energy drain from me when my hand (turn with the dice) ends. If I start to feel tired and don’t want to leave, I take energy supplements – Ginseng and Ginko Bilbao, which take 30 minutes to take effect. If I know it will be 30 minutes or more before I get the dice, it works for another hour. I almost always have a chair, so I sit and rest until it’s my turn.
Even so, if a table is full making it an hour before turns, I’ll give it 2 hours to thin out. Otherwise, I take my chips to a less populated table, even if I have to wait for SR1 to open.
As Dom said this weekend, I have really started to tire of random rollers. I now look forward to their 7-out. Any wins, they often throw away on hardways, anyway. I’ll make one bet to keep my spot, after the 5-count, and that’s all I’m interested in doing.
If I’m tired, overly annoyed by other shooters, or too focused on losses, it’s time for me to take a long break.

We as advantage players do not have a stop/win loss. We are playing with our "life time" bankroll not against the buy in. What I buy in for is not important at all. What is important is what my life time bankroll is.
As Skinny said, if you are playing with an edge, then leaving the table should be about when you want to leave …. if you are tired or maybe even something happened at the table like a dealer that got you mad, then leave.
When I teach blackjack card counting I get this question all the time. My answer is simple, as a card counter you are playing with an edge but if you are tired or if you are just annoyed that every time you put out a big bet with a high count you lose, then leave, but there is not a reason to leave as far as the math goes.
