Smoke free casinos

Spread the love

All casinos in Colorado are smoke free. Yes, there was a dip in gaming for a short time but picked up to be better than ever. Do you play in a smoke free casino?
Let us know where they are. I just played at Kansas Star south of Wichita and it wasn’t smoke free but not heavy like some others.

If we can get more people to ask for a smoke free environment eventually it will happen!

If you know of any casinos that allow cigars, let me know. Others smoking does not bother me. However, if I have the dice, my smoking would be too much of a distraction.

Smoke free – I will stop going to casinos.

I don’t mind sections being smoke free but the whole casino. Honestly, I am sick and tired of the political correctness that has over taken our country. Make a part of the casino smoke free but give us smokers an area as well.

And while I am at it – bad day today – Maybe us smokers could get a little thanks every now and then for helping in keeping state taxes down but of the sales tax that imposed on cigarettes. It’s like the left hand of the government says don’t smoke in government buildings but the state’s legislators say smoke up a storm so we have more tax dollars to spend foolishly!

OK – I am done with my rant 🙂

BTW – one last thing – Colorado has smoke free casinos but has legalized pot – yep – that makes a lot of sense to me

I have never smoked Dom but I feel the same way. Why do we have to have such an exaggerated response to smoking. I grew up with a whole family that smoked. A pack of cigs cost almost ten dollars here in Ca. and it’s political B.S. There’s room for everyone.

I’m sure the house would be passing it out if they could… 😎

Cincinnati has a no-smoking law so Jack Casino (formerly Horseshoe, Cincinnati) is a no-smoking casino. They do have a gaming area that is designated smoking but I not quite sure how they got around the law on that one but they do. It is a smaller area than the main casino.

Colorado casinos have outdoor areas for smokers or you can just step outside if they are ground level. If you had a lung disease like me then you’d be thankful for smoke free casinos. I haven’t
smoked for 41 plus years and sorry I didn’t quit sooner. Smoking killed my wife as she couldn’t stop. It is certainly a choice but not a very good one.

OMC. Entire state of IL is smoke free, casinos included. I’ve never smoked ( ok, 2 packs as a kid) and prefer NS, but I actually drive further to IN for preferred conditions even though it’s smoking.

Smokers should be given there right to smoke but it should be in a place that is a sealed environment so I do not have to par take I also have rights to not smoke.

I’m an ex smoker. I use the electronic cigs to quit. its been a little over 7 years now. I’m more sensitive to the smell cigs now.
Not sure why. when I first moved to Nevada and went into a casino it was not easy. Had a hard time breathing. Got use to it after a few weeks, but it sucked at first.

I am smoke free over 41 years and enjoy the smoke free atmosphere. Many casinos are not smoke free but after quitting smoking for a while I think most anyone will learn to appreciate the
cleaner air. Best thing that has happened to Colorado casinos. Yeah, we are weed legal but not in public. It is just a habit, best way to quit is put them down on the table and walk away.
Takes a lot of will power and too many folks don’t have the necessary will power. I am thankful I did.

Since WA is smoke free, the only time I smell smoke is at the Indian Casinos where the crops tables are. Now the smell of smoke is my trigger for "Game Time".

BTW, quit smoking 15 years ago, but it doesn’t bother me to be around it. Smoke Nazis really bug me. If you don’t like it, go patronize a business that is more to your liking.

Smoke Nazis – I like it 😆

I hate them.

BTW – in case no ones knows – I am a smoker

lol @ Dom’s post on legalizing Pot. I don’t like to be around smokers but don’t mind inhaling Dom’s secondary smoke when he is on a hot roll and coughing to the cage.

Vegas now has the legalized weed deal and it will and already have become a problem, rooms will become infested with it the aroma of it on the strip and downtown is constant, I do not believe that the casinos are ready for the future of weed.

I’m a Cigar guy especially in LV on the tables. Here in Colo the "Smoke Nazis" are still active as in Cali and there is no smoking in any public establishment. However, pot has not made it into the public arena just yet, still legal recreational out doors and in the private setting.

Pot in the casino’s of LV will become an issue for anyone that has to undergo a mandated "Random UA". Even casual second hand contact can cause a person to have a hot UA which disqualifies him/her from working on jobs contracted by the government. Truck drivers will also have to be very careful, actually anyone who has to stand, or sit, for the random UA would be foolish to frequent houses that are filled with pot smoke.

Funny, I have been in LV now for 10 days staying on strip, off strip and downtown. Thought I would smell a lot of pot in the air but have not smelled it anywhere—-not even once in my time here. Since my husband calls me a "canary" because of my aversion to smells I am pretry sure if it was around I would know it. Small sample size I know. I read that it is NOT legal to smoke it in the casinos and I think they seem to be doing a pretty good job with it. If people want to get high they can always go for the edibles and no one else will be exposed.
