TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (AP) — Florida legislators are moving closer to a gambling deal which could result in a new casino in South Florida and give the Seminole Tribe the right to offer craps and roulette at their casinos.

House and Senate negotiators met Wednesday in a last-ditch effort to pass a comprehensive gambling bill this session. The session ends on May 5.

The House proposed allowing one new casino in Miami-Dade and granting the Seminoles additional games at their seven existing casinos. This includes two major casinos in Tampa and in Hollywood. The House proposal could also lead to dog tracks ending live dog races.

Rep. Jose Feliz Diaz, a Miami Republican leading negotiations for the House, called it a substantial offer since the House initially proposed a "freeze" on all gambling.

The Florida Legislature and The Seminole Nation have approved craps and roulette in all Seminole casinos in the state.

The Governor has signed the bill into law.

I asked a Pit supervisor when craps would start. He said the earliest would be August.

Something to look forward to .

Good news!  Here in AZ  some of the hold up was waiting on dealers.  I know of a Casino that has 2 tables and they are still waiting on dealers.   I guess takes time even if they get a dealer to move maybe getting licensed in the new state ?

Looking forward to some trip reports from FL !   <<<  Good shooting <<<<
