Just bought it and I’m trying to figure it out. I began to use the roll recorder and a question popped into my head. I have a Golden Touch practice rig and throwing station. The side walls of course are not as far apart as a real table so I was wondering if I should be logging the rolls that wind up hitting the sides of this box?
P.S. Am I alone in wishing there were some video tutorials for this software? lol

I purchased it but I use it to download my results from my custom google sheet and form because I use my ipad to record the throws. The logger should work for you just fine. I would log all your throws regardless if it hits the side walls. Eventually you will stop hitting the sidewall less. Use the hardway set with smart craps. In the beginning it will be hard to pass the protest 1,2,3 to calculate your edged..

yes, I have no issue using the roll recorder. Just need to learn how to properly use the rest of this software now.

Now if one of the above happens and it shows an on Axis number then it is surely a lucky on Axis and not controlled. Still if you record enough decisions the results will shake out to show controlled or random over all just like they should. That is why you can’t record 50 tosses and know your SRR and your on Axis percentage. Anything can happen in a few rolls. Large numbers statistically hold a lot more true information then a small sample. If I am incorrect, I am sure one of our math experts will set me straight. 😀
As I recall Pro Test 1 in Smart Craps measures your ability to keep the dice on axis. I think it is necessary for your results to be greater than 3 standard deviations from the mean to pass any of the Smart Craps’ tests.
That means you have thrown more on axis throws in the number of rolls you recorded than could be expected by 99.73% random rollers.
In other words since you are on the positive side of the bell curve, only 13.5 random rollers out of 10,000 could produce that result.
getagrip is correct. It does not matter if some rolls bounce around haphazardly or hit the pyramids and scatter. Those throws will be random and on axis or not consistent with that of a random throw. But It is statistically impossible to pass a pro test with too many random throws.

A roll of 111 that was P1Sc 76.745 % P2Sc 2.42 % P3Sc 1.45% .
A roll of 90 that was P1Sc 1.32% P2Sc 11.45% P3Sc 47.86% .
These were in a group that I recorded an SRR of 6.18 for a little over 4,000 rolls .
I think I need to learn more about smart craps . I just use it to record my rolls . Which are Not vary good just yet .
Good Rolling. 😀 🙂
