A POEM FOR MY WIFE
I forgot to send my sweetheart a birthday rhyme,
I’ll do it now, for it’s just high time.
We all should know by now, Marilyn is the love of my life.
I knew this way before she became my wife.
There are many important and life-saving recommendations she has already made,
To help keep my heart pumping for the last decade.
Throwing dice is only one thing she does better than me,
Which is why she teaches, and I’m still a trainee.
Although each of us is independent enough to live alone,
I can’t picture my life without her, she’s my cornerstone.
We are blessed to have great children and grandchildren too.
Who would have thought 6 and 11 would be our crew.
Our life together has been a most blessed time.
It couldn’t have been done without the help of a divine.
Although we came from different places,
We have always had good vibrations.
I love you Marilyn, more than my words could say.
Thanks for our life together – hip, hip, hooray!

You two were made for each other and the love you both show to each other is always so apparent. Very touching from such an old codger! 😆
