Sue and I normally spend the month of February in Las Vegas, however this year
I managed to mess up the time table.
We decided to take a couple of weeks and swing down through St Louis, along the
river down to New Orleans and along the Golf Coast.
I figured there are enough craps tables in that trip to keep me in the life style
I am use to. (laughing)

I have never gambled outside of Nevada. Will look forward to your trip reports. If you would, please include your basic betting strategy and how you might have varied it from your norm due to local payouts or difference in odds allowed, etc. Thanks! Good luck, have fun and a safe trip!

table, They include St Louis, Tunica, Vicksburg, New Orleans and Biloxi.
I have had 9 winning sessions and 5 losses.
For my money the tables in Biloxi are miles ahead off all others
just from a standpoint of playing.
We will stay here in Biloxi tonight, then head back to Memphis
and then back to St Louis and home.

It was a wonderful trip, Sue hit some nice wins at the card tables so
she had a great time.
I am not sure how to explain my trip….so I guess I just explain it and
I am sure I will get enough feed back to make sense of it all.
At home I play once a week, on this trip I had 26 sessions over the 14 days
which is 6 months of play for me. Also in that time I drove from Wisconsin
to the golf and back home. I ended with an SRR of 7.8.
Up front I came home up on craps….barely.. but up…. now on the face
of that playing a negative expectation game for 6 months and being
ahead is not easy.. (26 sessions would be six months play for me)
But that is not the entire story….. while I was happy with how my
shot developed and some adjustments I made, I was truly disappointed
by 4 mistakes I made which kept me from coming home well ahead.
1….. I did bet some on most players
2……I over bet the quality of my toss on day one when I bet more than
normal before my shot was right. One morning I did not warm up
before hitting the table and after several rolls I had a nice hand
going ( betting more than I should) and a player placed his chips
right where I was landing my dice, I still had four inches or so
which on a 12 foot table is more than I need and I hit his chips..
Total lack of concentration on that shot.
3……When you drive that far and move around you can get a tad tired
and a couple of times I played tired which cost me.
4……I lost $350 on the way home playing two tables which did not fit
me and I normally would have stayed 10 miles away from…
I only got warned for missing the back wall one time and that was cool
when the pit boss leaned over and said, I can see you can put those dice
where ever you want them to go, so I am going to assume if you miss the
back wall, you did it on purpose.
So over-all I did some things right but a number of things poorly.
If I want to be a real good player, I got some work to do.

Love this GMan and I hope you don’t mind if I comment on your 4 items 😀
item #1 – We stress in class that at the MOST you want to bet no more than 25% of your initial spread on random rollers after the 5-count
Item #2 – Not sure if what I am going to say here is what you did, but I would like to make a point —- If you are playing with an edge, (which you are because as you said, to have a 7.8 SRR on this trip you are) … you should have a game plan on how much you want to bet before you go to the table and stick with that amount. If you want to change it, leave and come back.
Now, if you wait until you THINK you are hot before putting out bigger money, you will cost yourself profit because with an edge, at any given time, first roll or last roll of the session might be your big roll. I really don’t like the idea of "Warming up" before putting out bigger money. Decide on what you are going to bet and stick to it. If this point is not clear anyone, LMK
Item #3 – Playing tired …. well we all know what I would say 😆
item #4 – Playing on a bad table ….. as Regan said during one of his debates …. well here you go again 😀

By warming up I meant throwing some shots in the room
until my dice look like I want them to.
