AC This Week

Spread the love

This week is the last class for 2015 in AC.

We still have a few spots open so sign up quick. It will be a great time to save a few bucks with our discussion about possibly having a price increase next year due to our rising costs to rent classroom space.

Give Dom or myself a call to take advantage and grab a seat this week.

Space available for 2 Refreshers, 1’s. Primer, 2 Advanced, 2 Tune-ups and 2 Elite Video.

It’s still not too late. With the few spots left all are welcome to come. The GTC weekend is really coming together so the class should be an outstanding one.

I joined up with folks to watch the no Sevens and to shoot with folks. I know there were some long rolls around, but personally I witnessed and had myself some solid shooting and money making rolls in the teens on many hands, a nice 24 by Ten Man, and a late night blast at the $25 table working moderate rolls and placing with Kurt/Curt (no seven winner) the hot numbers by a couple of our shooters. I then finished my night with a good looking hand but shorted a couple of rolls and the box went off on me so I walked away up over a Ben on that hand and let a CFf finish the hand. Don’t know why, but was landing inches from the wall and they refused to hit… dice were just doing that and I couldn’t get them to stop. Back to practice!

In golf, we look for that type of action when hitting a wedge onto the green. But this isn’t golf. I’ll take a guess here, that you were throwing into the grain of the felt and the dice were landing on edge. Also I’m sure the dice had a sharp edge.

Anyway, as Calogero, " C " responded to his father, Robert De Niro in A Bronx Tale, " I gave it a shot "
I’m sure some of the GTC instructors or other members of the site will be able to identify and correct the problem.

Catch you later!

It is possible you were throwing with too high of an arc. If you lower the arc the dice will roll forward more.

I have found the problem with short throws is many do not trust the GTC throw. You here Dom and I say all the time in class "let the dice go, trust your toss" "don’t baby the toss".

Don’t be weak and have your dice land 4 to 6 inches from the back wall, not 16 to12 inches from the back wall.

All good points indeed. Will practice, practice, practice when I fly home today before my Puerto Rico and cruise shooting starting next Friday! Single odds on Royal Caribbean! Woo Hooo! Looks like a Place Betting trip!

Hey Kurt, indeed it was! Great meeting and shooting with you. Shoot well. I’m playing 2 hands right now to determine best way to bet on the cruise. 1x odds is so sad!
