Worth IT or Not

Do we really want to draw more attention to ourselves ten we already Get ?
I was in Vegas this week . Did not do well . Never was told to hit back wall or any other thing but Thank you come play again .
I do bet small and vary little on others . But do place pass line bets for dealers some times .
Now comes my question . While at a table saw a guy that threw the GTC way and one dealer told the stick to move over closer to him to LIKE get in his way . Which I thought was not NICE AT ALL .The thrower then asked to speak to the pit boss who happened to be a guy that told me one time that I only throw the dice on the first throw and never try to hit the back wall after the first throw . which just let go in one ear and out the other .
Well this talking to pit critter did not change a thing I thought .The roller then rolled I think 3 7s with an 11 in there or some thing to that affect then est. a point and 7ed out and left .
I myself would not have said anything and just try to not let them get to me and let them know that by my tipping instead .I have been at tables were dealers have gotten on other dealers about how they treat players that tip .
I made a come bet and told the stick that he needed to pay attention to his bets and not listen to that other dealer .I make a any craps bet when I make a come bet which he did not pay attention to.
I find that Less said the better unless you plan to not play there any more .Even before I took the class I was told that I could no longer throw the dice at one casino but could gamble all I wanted .I said nothing it is their game but the rest of the GTC folks that I was with had a great laugh since I had not taken the class yet . I have not gone back there yet . One day maybe .
I lost some but the others made some since they were come betting .
I think since taking the class I find that it is even easier to let things not bother me about throwing the way we do .
So what do you think out there?
Should we talk it up or let it just go ????
It was at the french place .
Good Rolling. 🙂 🙂

Rose and Doc read your post and will take a stab at an answer. We think it is best to simply say nothing or at the most, very little. Your tipping says about as much as you need to say. We were recently playing with JawBones and his wife Lady Luck at the same place where you were playing when he got called down about hitting the back wall. He could not have handled it any better. He was hitting the back wall with every every shot–some harder than others. The Pit Critter stopped the game and in a very nice way told him that the casino policy was to hit the back wall every time. JawBones simply said " I am so sorry, I thought I hit the back wall every time. I will hit the back. Thanks for telling me." We both looked at each other and at Lady Luck and shrugged our shoulders. He refocused and rolled the dice at least 15 more times for a total toll of 39. It was handled with class. And yes, he was betting for the dealer as were Rose and Doc.

Thanks for posted this as others can learn from this.

Looks like you handled it well. Congratulations.

I Think the way you handled it was great. The way Pat and Rose and their group handle it was perfect in my opionion. I little apology, a smile and keep on tossing the dice. I am very uncomfortable when I am at a table and an arguement insues when the dealers and player get into it.

I have never been told about the back wall bs except for one place, at certain times, at a certain Casino in Vegas. I was with Dom and they were riding us. we colored up and left. We played at the same place at a later time and all was well.

This type of story will forever go on and on.. To me it is just another challange and a story to tell when I am at the dinner table with my GTC friends.

Keep up the good work.
Good fortune to you in and out of the Casinos.

I don’t think dealer antics warrent any argument with them or anyone in the pit. It never does any good personally or for the dice influencing crowd in general to argue with them. They tend to lump the dice influencing community together even though we are all different people with many different personalities. So what one does reflects on all of us fair or not. I think that most of the dealers or pit critters,if they are doing something on purpose, will relish the fact that we are upset by it. That is what they want because it will surely bring a 7 out. Also, there may be other circumstances that we are unaware of. Something may have happened on their shift earlier to give them a knee jerk reaction to what we are trying to do even if we had no part in the previous situation.

I wish more of the casino personnel actually understood the math of the games they represent. These days I don’t think many of them do. Otherwise, they would want to give every gambler, win or lose, a fun and exciting experience so they will enjoy themselves and come back to gamble again and again. Even DI’s lose sometimes and win sometimes, make good bets sometimes and stupid bets sometimes, and the quality of our tosses shifts back and forth from influence sometimes to no influence sometimes. If a shooter is really, and I mean really, eating them up at the tables one day the casino personnel can politely ask that person to not come to their table any more that day but come back tomorrow so they know they are welcome again and no hard feelings. It really seems so simple to me.

OK, I am getting long winded here but here are a couple of things I try if any of this stupid stuff happens at a table when I am shooting. First, I try to act dumb like I don’t know they are doing these things to irritate me. Usually after a couple of tosses if I don’t react then they stop as it is not giving them the outcome they desire. Second, I use it as a personal challenge to see if I can stay very calm and have it give the exact opposite effect they desire. Focus, breath normally, smile and win money! Third I try to think about all of the great dealers that I have had over the years and how a lot of them have gone out of their way to make it a great game for me and tons of fun shooting. Bad apples do spoil the bunch and stick in our minds but I have had WAY more good dealer experiences than bad when I play. Fourth, if it does bother me for whatever reason that day then I color and play elsewhere. Plenty of other casinos to give my money to!

Thanks Finisher for bringing up a really good subject!
