I know it was on the old board but don’t think I have seen it here.
I think it was bman that said as you are learning these new skills, practice from a shorter distance than normal.
Analogy, sinking a basketball repeatedly from half court. I think you would start practicing from 5′, then 10′, then 15′ etc.. Each time making sure you are being consistent with your shot.
Watch for separation, flatness of the dice, where they bounce and finally after many practices what is the resultant number thrown!
Just a reminder that it will come, but in most all cases, only if you are willing to put in the time!

I was amazed, as this is a casino that never give any heat.
I moved to the left, moved my cheques to the left, picked up a cheques in my right hand and with my arm extended dropped the cheques so that it landed to the left of the center line.
The admonition caused a discussion between the dealers and the box as to why this admonition had occurred in the first place. They were told that it was in the rules. It surprised the dealers, as this casino prides itself with openness with the players.
My distance was increased less than one chip rack. When I now shot my hand was not extended over the center line, but something good occurred. I had an excellent roll! He did me a favor.
I have since increased my tossing distance slightly with good results. Go figure.

I think it was suggested before, start practicing from a short distance. Maybe 6.5 or 6 feet until your shot is soft, the dice are together, they are landing repeatably in the correct landing zone, you are seeing a reasonable SRR. Then move out six inches and do it again until you move out to your normal distance for the tables you go to on a regular basis.
I am not suggesting going to the end of the table. Sorry. Again, I seem to remember that from the old forum and thought it would be good to bring up and onto the new board!
