This could be an interesting and fun thread. Here is what we do:
Rose and Doc use The Big Skinny pretty much how Skinny wrote about it. We take as many as 8 hits before we press taking as many odds as we feel comfortable with. This will give you a tidy profit regardless of what happens after that. Then Rose and Doc take a little different approach on the 9th hit. "Rose likes to take a full press–either increasing the odds, placing the number if not at full odds, or a combination if she is not yet as full odds. On the next hit she takes it and puts it in the rack. She will use the press and take for the rest of her roll.
Doc on the other hand takes about 50% of the win on the 9th hit with the other 50% into the rack. He does this on each and every hit. BTY if after the 8th hit he is not on all 6 numbers and hits a number for the first time he considers this a press as well–a press out not up. With a 50% press on every payday there is no thinking or decision to be made as the same thing is done on each payday. Doc knows this is very conservative but it works for him.
Look forward to see what others post.
Rose and Doc
PS–Just got back from north west Louisiana and will make a trip report later–for us we hammered them pretty good.

So in the casino I press after I have a few hits then use up a unite .
I am now working on trying it again and it is working better then it had in past . But I still am not good enough to do it in a casino with the BR that I have .
It seems to be GREAT if you can throw repeat numbers before the 7 comes .Which I am not at just yet .
I like to press after I have the dealers odds at full . I add one to their odds at ever hit I get . This seems to put them in the game more .So I may start my press after 3 hits or more most of the time .But it does depend on how the dice are looking and how I feel .
Good Rolling. 🙂 🙂

without thinking too much, thus keeping me in the zone if I’m there. I start with pass line and 2 place bets, don’t press until I have as much in the rack
as on the table. Some times if I am shaky I skip the 2 place bets until I see how I’m rolling. I always 5-count anyone I don’t know and mostly still
don’t bet on the randies. If I do bet I start with one come bet and single odds. If the roll is making me money I might go to 2 come bets. Very
conservative. It is exasperating to watch the randies bet both here and in Vegas. But, what the hell, it’s their money.

I happen to be fairly aggressive. Whatever my outlay is, I take back my entire investment before I start pressing. At that point, I full press my 4 and 10 and go up 2 units on my 6 and 8. Also depends on who is throwing and what set they are using. If it is me throwing and I am on, I tend to be a little more aggressive and push harder. I also usually have a place bet on what ever my point is because I like to double dip. If I hit my point, then I full press my place bet. Please note that the place bet is on top of full odds.

I press the first one all the way and take winnings on the second. Then press 50% and take winnings on the third etc.
I seem to do a lot more practice than most and my throw is more dependable I guess. I have also taken personal lessons and video my own throw to compare it to the ones on the video available on this site.
Practice a heck of a lot more and win more.
