SBC Trip report – Patience, Perseverance, and

Spread the love

After three sucessful trips earlier in the year, interrupted by one really ugly endeaver, then another good trip, Big Daddy Guy and I extended our current win streak to two! ❗ Rolled into SBC Sunday afternoon, played for a while and got creamed, returned to the tables Monday AM – same results.
W took a break, had lunch and a rest, tried again in the afternoon. For about two a half hours, nothing but the same ol’ stuff. We were getting pretty discouraged, but something kept running thru my mind to be patient, skip the RR’s, and be prepared. Then things began to happen. One RR at SL2 (BDG was at SL!) had a 40 roll, and we made a profit. The dice went around about four more players, and another RR had a 30 roll, and we made a profit.
Things were looking up. In the meantime, the arrogant SOB at SR!, who actually took up SL1 & 2, and would not move over an inch, putting me at essentially SR3, left the table, and I took over SR1. I promptly threw a nice low 40’s hand, BDG followed with a great looking 30’s roll, and when the dice came back around, I had a second 40’s roll. Five extended rolls in about a two houe span! Other RR’s had short rolls, but still, produced short term profits. We made up our deficits (aka losses), and finished with a delightful, respectable profit. Patience, Perseverance, and (finally) Profits. Hell of a game, isn’t it?

Don’t you just hate it when other players are taking your playing spot and don’t move for hours. Drives me nuts. 😥

I had one one time that did not like to roll but wanted s1 to make it easy to bet all numbers.

And my guy complained that is was rude for BDG and I to take so long to throw. Of course, all he did was grab ’em and sling "em. We did not take a long time to throw! There’s one at every table it seems.
