World We Live In

This is the environment that has been created by We the People

Spread the love

Remember one thing about democracy. We can have anything we want and at the same time, we always end up with exactly what we deserve.

It is up to We the People to change it.

Actually heard that when it was live several years ago. This station which is incredibly conservative, as it should be, and you should have heard the follow up phone calls. No wonder this country is in such bad shape. She is teaching her kids how to use the system.

It really needs to come to a halt.

I remember the story of a gentlemen who heard about food stamps and he went and signed up. What he did was buy what he needed to cook some Bar B Que and sell it- a violation of the the food stamp program. After about 3 months he did not go and pick up his food stamps and an employee of the agency for food stamps went to see if he was all right. Found him in the yard cooking his BBQ with a sign that it was for sale. Asked why he no longer getting his food stamps and he said I make enough money that I don’t need it any more. He not has his own business. Although he used the food stamps unlawfully, he did manage to get off welfare so the food stamps were put to good use. This is probably the exception and not the rule.

I agree Doc. We have too many give away programs that it takes away any incentive to work. There is no pride in accomplishment these days.
It seems it is ok to sit on your ass and do nothing and then "expect" to get money to live on. You’re entitled, my ass.

Sadly, this is what happened with two of my grandsons. We engaged them to clean our house. Not hard nor beyond their capability. They had done a so-so job. We were trying to teach how to clean, be thorough and put away cleaning supplies. They would spend time on cell phones and sitting on their butts
instead of just getting the job done so they could return home. Then we told them that they would have to leave their phones on the kitchen table.
They quit the next day. This was twice a month, paid as much as a commercial company plus breakfast and transportation. My daughter-in-law is a liberal
and sees the world through those rose-colored glasses. It disgusts me and Lynn. The boys are 16 and 14 and I predict a rude awakening in the near future.
