The three years my first trip of the year have all been losing trips even though I have found up on the plus side for the year.
First trip in 2015 was to Laughlin where Sally and I were meeting a couple that we have known for over 40 years. First time I had ever gone to Vegas was to meet them in Vegas. While the two men were checking that trip his wife hit something on a slot machine and they were up before we checked in. So long ago, I don’t remember how I did on that trip and I don’t even think I was playing craps then. Probably was playing blackjack mostly.
Our friends had flown in on the Harrah’y after lunch.s flight the day before and we had an uneventful drive in from Los Angeles and got in early afternoon. Checked in and couldn’t find our friends. Only one craps table open and it was empty.
Started over with a craps, then a seven, and a point of six. Another craps and then the seven. Down to start.
Next roll started with a yo, point of 5 then 6, 11, and 7. Down more. Third roll started with a seven then a point of 9. Three rolls later the seven showed with no winners. Now down almost a hundred.
Took a bathroom break and no one had come to the table while I was gone. Finally set a point on my first roll. Came right back with another four for my first point made. Two comeout sevens were followed by another four, which I repeated four rolls later. Next roll a point of six followed two rolls later with a sevenout and I had recovered half of my three previous losses.
Next three rolls were rolls of 5, 3 and 3. All losers. Then had a roll of 6 which was a small winner. They were followed by two rolls of 11 on both of which my first point on each roll was a 5 and both times I rolled the 5 right back. These two rolls got me back to being down less than $100. After rolls of 7 and 6 I was still down less than a hundered and called it quits.
After eating with our friends there was only one person at the table but he was at SL 1 so I bought in at SR 1. First roll was two CO 7 followed by a point of 5 and then two rolls later the seven. A losing roll. Next roll was better. Started with a point of 5 that came right back. Next point was a six then two rolls right back. Third point was a nine made right back. Repeated six as a point and two rolls was seven out. Back to a slight winner on my rolls this series. Next roll a point seven rolls and
That was followed by a roll of 8 that I made a little on even though I didn’t make any points. Took a break.
Came back to the table that was fairly full but SR 1 was available and I bought in. After three other shooters I had a roll of which I had a single digit loss on without making any points. After two more rolls of 3 and 2, I called in quits down half my buy in.
I had rolled 15 different times for 107 rolls of which 37 were come out rolls so this translates into a SRR of 4.67 with an average roll of 7.13. I’m glad I’m not down even more than I am. My thoughts are is this going to continue the first trip lof the year losses.
More later.

Also did you get a chance to go to any of the other casinos ?
When I first played there there were only 3 casinos .I think that number is at 13 now .
Good Rolling. 🙂 🙂

Drove back toward Boulder and went to the casino that had a movie theater and is way off the road. Crap table was empty before we went to first movie and was still empty when we got out. $3 minimum with I thought I remembered as only double odd, but their Website says triple odds.
Started out poorly, first roll yo, point seven. Followed with a roll of 11, first point of six I made but couldn’t make the second point of 4. Rolled two many numbers I wasn’t on and still lost money. Next roll was only 8 but made the first point of 5 but couldn’t make the next point of six. Had enough place winners to finish slightly ahead. Another player joined and had a roll of 18 that I made a little on. My fourth and final roll was a 24. Made points of five and eight but couldn’t make the second point of 8. Walked away with a low double digit win.
Drove to the casino had a slot tournament and I played, again on an empty table. My first roll was a good one of 24 where I made point of 6, 9, 9 and 10 but couldn’t make a point of 8. Won slightly over $100. Next roll was seven that I made appoint of 8 but couldn’t make the ten. Two others joined the table and after my next roll of 3 I colored up with a low single digit win.
Went back to Harrah’s and rolled 3 times, 9, 11, and 5. Made one point on the first two rolls and no points on my third roll. Won once and lost twice, but some of the other shooters qualified and I made a mid double digit win.
Had a nice visit with our friends at dinner and found the table full when I went back and called it quits for the day.
Saturday morning started out with a point seven, followed with rolls of 6, 8, 12, 8, and 8. Made money on the 12 and one of the 8s but lost on all the others so I am down over a hundred.
Went to Sally’s slot tournament and had rolls of 12, 5,5, and 2 so was down mid double digits. She didn’t have a decent score so we are heading home tomorrow without her playing her second round.
Went back to Harrah’s. Started out with rolls of 5 and 8 and then 28. Lost on the first two, but had a good win on the last one. Made one point of eight and then the six three times. Followed that with a roll of nine that was also a winner. This group made me positive for the day.
Next morning SL1 was available and three others were at the table. I had rolls of 17 and 9 and made money on both but unlike the other day I lost a little more than I won on myself on the others that qualified..
All in all, the trip was a winner and we enjoyed the couple we had known for over 40 years.
