OneMoonCircle, Goldfinger and I yesterday (sunday) played up the hill at BlackHawk CO. At one casino they finally opened both sides of the table and we took positions with the intent of me blocking for OMC and Goldfinger – SL1 occupied! Bouncy table, new layout and a stick lady that was learning the ropes. Finally Goldfinger left for home and OMC and I had a bite to eat.
Checked back with that table and they had shut it down to half a table, so we went down the hill slightly to another pair of tables. OMC met a old friend from his pool playing days and then we decided to converge on an empty table.
Couple of times around and the table was winning.
It came around to OMC again and he started out with 3 crap numbers. Oh boy here we go again!
Well, another 45 numbers come and go and the ugly duckling finally shows up!
Later, he asked " was I in the high 30’s?", and I respond you have a witness to a 48.
He looks at me in wonder and then a BIG OLD GRIN comes to his face – a 48?
Yes a 48!
So congratulations to OMC on reaching the first level on GTC!

the changes that the instructors wanted me to make from the primer last June. Re-read my notes from my class notebook and altered my toss. I had tossed a number of 40’s in the past but never had a GTC’er along to witness.
I have not thrown my age even in practice. My best ever is 62 in a practice session. I had a 60 in Kansas City last February but again no witness. It felt very good and yes I did make a profit. As Goldfinger says "you don’t bet enough on yourself when you are hot" and that was the case again last night. I think I made 7 or 8 passes which was 5 to the fire bet (I don’t bet it ever), I never had a 10 on the comeout unless I’m mistaken. Maybe Stealthman might remember.

Also glad to see that Goldfinger learned one of my basic lessons—always leave the table just before someone has an out of sight roll!! Have done that many times. Just kidding Goldfinger.

One of my basic lessons is get to the table for the last few rolls. Usually just in time to get money out for the 7. I’ve been on the end of several of Goldfinger’s
bigger rolls. Missed the biggest one altogether.
I read a sign that says " me" all over it. " My purpose in life is to serve as a warning to others."
When do you think you might come to Colorado?

Otherwise it was good to play and practice with OMC this past visit. Was not shooting well and OMC made a comment regarding my numerous double pitches from the hardway set. Next turn rolled a 37 by making a small correction to hand position. Probably a bit further than No-Field-Five suggested in my video analysis. Will see if it continues in Vegas coming up February 15 to 18!
