Come Out rolls

Spread the love

This is about how many rolls to est. a point number .
I rolled 1268 rolls .
220 of them est. a point number .
There were 75 rolls that took 2 rolls to est. the point number .
24 rolls that took 3 rolls .
14 rolls that took 4 rolls .
2 rolls that took 5 rolls .
1 roll that took 6 rolls .
1 roll that took 7 rolls .
In the casino last trip the pit person and I counted 10 rolls one time before est a point number . My personal record in practice is 17 .
Just was wondering if this is just normal or not .
Some thing NEW for Skinny to think about .I have NO IDEA about the math with this .
Also have no idea how many come out rolls to expect with that many rolls .
Or point wins .
There were 133 PWs .
Thanks for any input .
Good Rolling. 🙂 🙂

We don’t count the number of rolls to set a point in the casinos (just total number of rolls), but in practice at our house the record is 8. One, Two or three seems to be pretty normal from time to time. BTY Doc set that record.

Finisher….you said:

What are you hitting? 7’s or horns? Are you betting on them? Pressing anything? How much $$$$ did you make on the come out roll?

Lion I bet the world on come out roll .Which is a BAD bet . If I roll a 7 it is a push so on all 10 rolls I made money but have no idea how much .Did not press any which never do . I am happy with a win before I start my betting .Which ever it may be 3.00 ,11.00 or 18.00 . I have just not gotten to were I feel good about pressing the world .
I like it better then the c&e for 2.00 since you loose if the 7 comes . I don’t mind winning 3.00 on every roll if that happens . 🙂 🙂
It is nice to start your bets with some of their money . 🙂 🙂
I have changed a lot of old bad habits of betting since taking the class . But have still hung onto this one .
Some times change is hard .

Do you use a different set on the come out?

If you throw a seven on the come out you make 5 dollars

If you throw a 3 you make5 dollars

If you throw an 11 you make15

If you throw a 12 you make 20 and the same on the 2

High house edge bets are designed to be big risk bigger reward.

No if instead you take a 3 dollar three way crap hit the three parlay it hit it again your payout is 75 or 80 dollars depending on where you play the 2 and 12 double that yes 150 nice payday.

Now if you roll a seven you still make two bucks.

The question is are you playing to win or just to play.

Finisher — what set do you use on come outs? — the All 7? Hardway? or something else (yo-set, superset, ace/duece set ??)

I have my own strategy on come out rolls and I use a certain set that generates numbers/outcomes that I’m betting on — if what I’m looking for does not hit, then my loss is so small it’s negligible

My best win on a come-out roll was $280 — my goal is to win $500 on a come out

One time, I had 8 come rolls that generated 6 craps, 1 yo, and 1 seven. During the come out, a girl was betting on the 3-way craps, she started out with $100 buy-in and after my 8 come out rolls, she turned $100 buy-in into $1600 and gave me a $100 chip ….. sweet !!

Boy she was nice . I made a guy 2300.00 on a hard way bet and got zip but he did tip the dealers .
As far as sets go I use either the 6s on top looking at 5s or do the hard way set with 5s on top .If I use the hard way set I just fling them down the table and relax for that min.
I am not good enough to par lay and press my bets .That is for guys like B-man who is a lot better at getting repeat numbers .
I have some long rolls to get me by but the numbers are all over the place .
I make 3.00 if a 3 comes up and happy that I made it and not lost .
If the 11 comes up then I make 15.00 and the dealers make 2.00 which is fine .
If the 2 or 12 come up I make 18 .00 .
I like rolling the dice but winning is Fun .
I would rather win a little then loose a lot so for now I am still a small better .
Good Rolling. 🙂 🙂

Yea — the dealers said to her after she threw me the $100 black chip "Hey, where’s our $100 chip??"

She replied "When you can shoot them like he can, then I’ll give you $100"

Priceless

I will wade in on the setting for the 7 on come out rolls. I never set for a 7. I always use the hard way set with the exception of an occasional 7 set on my very first roll after I get the dice. The reason I don’t often set for the 7 is very simple—I don’t really care about making $5 or $10 as I would rather set a number take some odds maybe place the 6 and / or 8 where I can make much more dollars. I know I have a 2 to 1 edge over the house but the reward is not much in my humble opinion.

As to a come out roll after I make a point, I am a come player using The Big Skinny and I don’t want my come bet to come down. Again I set with the hard way set as usual and want to set a new point, again taking odds. Also if there are other come betters on the table do this as a courtesy to them as well.

I know that there are several people on this board who are place better and will tell any one "I always set for the 7 on all come out rolls as I want to make that $5 or $10. I am the roller and I play my way." I have no problem with that, I simply do it differently.

I do respect that it is their way to play the game and I do like to play with many of them. Just a different philosophy. When I play with these friends I make a few more more place and buy bets where it is in the math to do so.

Don’t misunderstand what I say, neither of us is right or wrong just a difference how we play the game we love.

Hope others put put there $.02 cents worth in to this discussion.
