As the father of four children I can say that it is a lot of work.
But well worth it.
My kids are late teens early 20s now. My advice start saving for college today.

When you do decide to start saving for a college education look into opening a 529 plan. ACPA can probably give you a better idea of this than I can but I think it is worth looking into it.

Thank you all. This was a very happy surprise for us. Never thought it could happen. Now hope it’s a girl as ,y wife says there is to much testerone as it is. As for college, she is a lawyer who practices financial planning. We have an Amex card in the 529 plan for each of the three boys. We use one for the carpet store purchases, one for our real estate expenses and one for personal. We were grandfather in at s 2% cash back on all purchases. Now I believe it’s 1 1/2%. It’s been nice watching the accounts grow over the last 8 years.

Rose and Doc hope it is a girl as well, as we reared 2 and have a grand daughter as well. Then the daughter and hubby messed up and had a little boy. Love they both but the young grandson has been a true blessing as well.
We always remember that children are never a problem but simply a care.
