    Happy Birthday, Goddess and Skinny !!!!!!!!

    This week we have two of our instructors celebrating their birthday’s on the same day and I am hoping we will get to do this in AC as we have done for quite a few years now.

    Marilyn (Our Goddess) and Skinny (John) will be celebrating their birthday’s on Thursday Jan. 15.

    Happy birthday to both of you and may we keep celebrating this great day together for many years to come.

    I am so lucky to have both of you as friends and fellow casino warriors.

    Happy birthday to the woman I love,
    who fits my life like a cashmere glove.

    We have struggled through some unhappy news,
    but will not give in to the blues or booze.
    Although we must admit one thing has changed, a cold beer at lunch is often arranged.
    But that is for satisfying a thirst,
    which chemo may have caused, and can be reversed.

    Your determination and willingness to stand and fight,
    has made our future together, hopefully, bright.
    We have family and friends who have said many prayers,
    and maybe some even shed a few tears.
    But through their love and continued support,
    this leukemia thing we will abort.

    So as we look ahead to our future days,
    I will look forward to my martini bombays.
    Together we will continue to go on living,
    and hug each other and never stop kissing.
    We know we have a lot to be thankful for:
    our love, our family, our friends, and so much more.

    So for now, I’ll say just one more thing,
    You are my Queen, even though I am no king.

    You are the best and the love both of you have for each other makes me feel good.

    NFF, Sandtrap actually choked up and had tears when he read it to me. We are very lucky.

    PitBoss, we took your advice, and are in a room in AC.

    I had a great day at craps and Pai Gow. Nice, since we haven’t played since August, when I first started treatment. Mr. Finesse and Jack and Betty are with us. (Different rooms.)
