New 30+ Roller

Spread the love

Hey, this stuff really works!

I’m very pleased to share that I had my first unofficial 30+ roll a week ago at a nice casino in Connecticut. I played 2, then 3 numbers starting with 2X odds. Even though in the beginning I was rolling every number but mine, I started hitting my numbers and went to maximum odds. I even bumped up my pass line bet and kept going. Thanks to all the instructors and especially to Dom and Frank for their dedication in organizing GTC to help us beat the casino. Looking at my notes from this year’s A.C. class in March (thanks, Timmer), I worked at lightening my grip, shortening my backswing, getting up and out over the table, and especially getting a good trajectory on the dice so that they hit the wall and make that SMACK sound. I recall Dom even personally showing me in A.C. how to start gripping the dice perfectly aligned. Back to my craps session; it was great fun and pretty cool walking away from the table not only with some extra $ in my pocket, but also with the confidence that I can do it again! Thanks again to all.

By the way, don’t beat me up too bad but I still haven’t got that practice rig – the only thing I have to say is that sometimes “life gets in the way”. I’m sure it’s only a matter of time before I purchase one and make the effort to put in the necessary practice time to improve.
I must add a few observations from my session that I found interesting.

1. I‘m a lefty and was shooting from SR1 when during my roll another player came up to SR2 to play. A player on his right cautioned him, “HEY he’s throwing the dice. Give him all the room he needs!”
2. Another one said “you can be our designated shooter!”
3. In the middle of the roll, I got distracted, paused, and asked the stick man to take the dice back. After a few moments, I was ready again.
4. During my roll, I gazed over at a player who kept betting the Don’t Pass. I didn’t let it bother me, but after the roll I had to ask him, “Why?” All he said was that he’s stubborn. Pretty dumb I say.

I’ll be on vacation in Vegas in October. I hope to see you there.

Sounds like another winner for team under the radar?

Timmer was he a member or just at one of the stations that you were at?

Keep it up DiceyDan!

Stealthman,

Timmer was my instructor in A.C. in March. After the class he sent me a summary of all the instructor’s comments on my throw. Very helpful.
