5pt fire hit

Spread the love

It was a pleasure to finally hit a 5pt fire this past Saturday and have some fellow GTC people there and on it (professor) only needed the 9 which I was pinging earlier. My dice have been really great lately since changing my dice set and my focus has been laser like. Of course during a 42 number roll the pit boss started jabbering hit the back wall or You’ll lose the dice. He didn’t bother me I’m used to talking during my rolls because I like the talk While bets are being made it settles me. I focus when they come to me. Practice is def paying off for me lately and I’m becoming more consistent
Shooting into the 20’a and high 30’s on every session! To my winning Wed crew I love you guys for taking me in and being there for me!!! Best group of guys you can meet. Biggest kudos to my brother from NJ big guy I owe you for helping me along during the down times!!

It was awesome when the everybody, even non-GTC players passed the dice right back to you. Now that must have annoyed the pit boss! Looking forward to another Winning Wednesday.

John you saw the next roll approaching the 4pt they started with the heat. Felt great to watch that $1,250 payout

Kas, it was great watching you get that 5 fire and being a part of it. Your enthusiasm really gets me going . Your dice were spot on and wonderful to watch. You have inspired all of us to try even harder to do well for wed. nite group. You should have written also that this was a $25 table which meant making money on the roll itself even without the fire. I have always left just before you had other good rolls but this time I just got there in time. It’s all about karma. Professor

NICE — congrats

Just love hitting the FIRE BET !!!!

And here I thought the fire bet was off limits because of the high HA. 😀

I do like the fire bet on crapless craps. It’s a lot easier to hit.

Rfink,

Just because there is posting on the FB, I don’t see any of the instructors recommending it. Do you?

Many people who take the class make some bets that are not recommended.

Noah, Just curious because it is hard to figure tone of voice in a written message. Are you saying it is not ok to put out a fire bet because the instructors do not reccommend it. Or is it your belief that it is a bad bet, or both. Professor

Posted by: Chuckman on August 26, 2014, 12:16 am

The fire bet absolutely is a "bad" bet. It has a tremendous house edge around 25% depending on the pay table. If some one is a 100% advantage player they would never make such a wager.

We though, have started out a gamblers. Otherwise we would have never stepped foot in a casino. For various reasons and by various paths we are exploring dice influencing and advantage play. Of course the vast majority of us are not 100% advantage players. But we are all adults. Adults who have acquired the money we choose to put at risk. Adults who have travelled to the casino; approached the craps table; exchanged our money for chips. Therefore it is our choice how we put it at risk.

So whether we choose to bet $64 across, or $6 three way crap or $5 fire bet, to each their own. And when we succeed in such bets I say "huzzah."

Professor,

I was simple pointing out that just because the FB was discussed on this site, I didn’t want a jump to be made that GTC was recommending it.

I may have bet it a few times just as I use to bet the Hards 6 or 8 and do a half parlay on them. And in fact I posted one trip several years ago where I made over $1,200 on that parlay one night and bought myself a portable computer with the ending.

My take on the FB is that I don’t bet it for myself now, but I have a routine of if I win a come out first bet on a table, I will let the dealer use $1 of my winnings as a fire bet for them or will offer them the choice of me putting that $1 on the pass line so if I win, they get $2.

Without keeping an accurate count, I believe over 90% of the time! the deals want the bet on the pass line. If they chose the FB I usually make a comment along the line, "I hope you win it, since I’ll be making money on my roll.

It doesn’t bother me if the people I play with bet the FB. I hope they hit it, for I’ll make money on that roll.

Professor, what is your take on the fire bet. Is your skill sufficient to overcome the high HA. Mine isn’t.

Noah

Have posting this I see that I may not have fully answered your question. So let me add.

GTC in my opinion teaches you how to control the dice, how to act at the table, and how to bet. We have all seen people who have taken the class and don’t follow what GTC teaches. Each of us are adults and can do with our money whatever we wish, but I suspect that it sorries the GTc instructors when they see a student ignoring what they tried to teach them, but as Dom has said, probably only 10% of the students will absorb and follow what the were taught.

I know my class was about 40 people and I’m the only one from that group who is still posting how we do.

Noah

PPS. I think Chuckman said it well.

Noah, I think Chuckman was spot on with what he said. I responded to his post but for some reason it did not get in. Well anyway, to think I am advantaged enough to do a fire bet is ridiculous but I play with others who are advantaged. Have I done it, yes. But that is just one of those nights where you can throw the dice under your leg and on to the table and hit the fire. That being said it is not only me who I am betting will get the 5 or 6 fire. Even though I do bet it on myself I also bet it on everyone at the table. Some of the most hideous shots by some shooters have hit the 5 fire for me. Just in the past 11/2 months someone has hit a 5 fire for me three times. The most recent an advantaged player who is more likely to do it than any chicken feeder. If I am at a table with advantaged players I will certainly put out a fire bet on them for they have the best chance to make it. I say the heck with the 25% HA anyone can do it at any time. Now lets say they did hit the 5 fire for me, that is now 250 more $5 fire bets I can put down without losing a dime of my bankroll. To put that in more perspective I have certainly not put down more than 250 fire bets before having hit another in the past 11/2 months going only once a week. Therfore I am way ahead of the casino ( lets not forget the 4 fires that have been made also). We have gone through the training and the years of practice to do one thing, beat the casino. This is one of the ways I feel it can be done. I do not always play at a casino that has a fire bet. I am not searching them out just to be able to make the bet but if it is there I will bet it for noone is clairvoyant as to be able to tell who will have that lucky night and who won’t. I am not a rogue gtc shooter, I just want to beat the casino. I love this game with a passion and so much want to conquer it (as ridiculous as that sounds) so I will practice at home with the intent of shooting a fire every time I start a series of rolls. Ok, now starts the pot shots from everyone but like Chuckman said and you also it is my money regardless what the books say.I put in too much practice time to ignore the possibility of me shooting a fire so I have to bet it. I trust me and any other GTC shooter that might be at my table to do it. Call me what you wish, stupid, hairbrained or just crazy but to me a table with a fire bet has much more anticipatory excitment than one that does not. It’s just plain fun. If I can not afford it then yes it is a very stupid bet but while I am ahead……….. Professor

Professor,

Why would I are anyone else pick on you.

Everyone does their own thing.

As I said, if I Fb is rolled, 4, 5, or 6., I’ll make money on those rolls so I’m happy.

Thank God for my 6-point, $10K fire bet win in Vegas in June

We LOVE the fire bet

We hit over 20 fire bets last year (mix of 4, 5, and 6 points)

The Princess has hit 12 4-point fires this year

Noah, I didn’t mean any harm. I was just busting chops. I’m sorry if I offended you.

I thought the new school of thought was that you can take a very small percentage of you bankroll and bet anything you want when it is gone no more crazy bets.

Now a true advantage player has the ability to throw the same number over and over, I would say you have a better chance of hitting the fire on a random shooter the a true advantage player.

Now a true advantage player who is dialed in can change his sets to produce different points true, but I believe that takes away from the focus of making quality shots.

Quality shots and repeating the same number are where it is at, my best hands I have never made a point just killed one or two numbers and hitting the same hard way.

Skinny once posted about the whole enchilada which is hitting the same hard way four times parlaying it each time, on the 6 and 8 that is ten thousand to one, in the 4 and 10 it is 4096 to 1, if I remember correctly the house edge is less than hitting the fire bet 6 which only pays 1000 to 1.

I believe a true advantage player should focus on the same quality toss now if I could only learn to do that, lmao!!!!!!!!!

RFink,

Would take a lot more than that to offend me, no apology necessary, but thanks anyway.

Hmmm I remember when I took the class during break a former student came in to talk to a instructor . I listened in on what he was saying about his bets that he was winning .They were NONE of the ones that they teach .The instructor said nothing about them but just listened .
So Dom is right about 10%. I look at it this way . It is your money bet it the way you want . I don’t drink much so a dollar on my roll for the fire is a tip for me whether I deserve it or not is to be seen in the coming roll .Winning is FUN as Dom puts it .
I do NOT play the true GTC way and never will .I play way over my BR .
Even tho I play at 5.00 table with 1 x odds and just 3 place numbers . I also play way to long and when I m tired , first day , last day any time can get my spot .
Frank says each bet is another game .So if you are on pass line with one number bet you are plying 2 games . So on. So it is up to you as to how many games you want to play . But when the 7 comes you loose all the games . That is a big edge for the casino .
Good Rolling. 🙂 🙂

You know that IF you are worried about that fire bet after you win your moeny back from the fist point made or a come out 7 or 11 you can take your win and bet and just cheer for the fire to win . 🙂 🙂 🙂 🙂 🙂
Good Rolling. 🙂 🙂
