Reminds me of when I was in Army ROTC summer camp between my junior and senior in college. We were in the field taking some instructions. We had been up most of the night before and we were all exhausted. We had a 45 minute lunch break. After eating I lay down in the shade on my back resting my head on my steel helmet. When I woke up everyone had left leaving me sleeping there Absolutely no one was around and I did not know where I was or how to get back. Walked down the dusty dirt road for about an hour and ran into my group. The they were all laughing and had my equipment—including my rifle. The Army officer/instructor in charge had them do this to teach me a lesson. I can say for sure that i did not doze off again during the 6 week summer camp. Seems funny now but some what scary at the time.
