I have a throwing and receiving station tables. Is the distance 8 feet from the back wall of the receiving station to center of throwing station or the end of throwing station. If it is from the center it just seems the distance is different when I am throwing in the casino at a 14 foot table. Any feedback is appreciated. Thank you, Stanley

Take the length of the table, divide by 2 and add 1 1/2 feet.
12′ table = 7 1/2 feet
14′ table = 8 1/2 feet
16′ table = 9 1/2 feet.
These are estimated based on what I read.

Not so long ago I had a boxman ask me to stand further back. I said how would the parking lot be?

Whats good for the thrower is good for the dealer . There is a saying for this .
I was at a casino down town Vegas were they told me that I needed to hit the back wall . I was at the end of table just wanted to pass some time away and see how the crew was . I said that I would try better to do that .
On my next throw I hit the back wall and asked if that was good . The reply was YES . I then threw the dice again hitting the back wall .
I then told them that they needed to give me the dice were I could reach them since I am short with short arms .They said that they would try .
After my next throw I told them that they diden do as good of a job as I did and they looked at me real strange .I then pointed at the dice and reached as far as I could which was still 2 FEET fron were they left the dice for me .
They then LOL AND PUSHED THE DICE 3 MORE FEET TO ME .
They made 17.00 in tips and I lost 3.00 .But we ALL had a good laugh . Have not been back .
Good Rolling. 🙂 🙂

Yes, I think your question is where do you measure to on the throwing station, in order to get the proper distance from the back wall. For us the distance where you stand, on a 12 foot table the answer is 7 1/2 feet (90 inches) from the back wall to where your right shoulder (left shoulder for a lefty) will be. This allows for 1/2 the length of the 12 foot table plus about 18 inches for a stick man/woman. Before we had a craps table and we used the throwing and landing stations, we made the 7 1/2 feet mark from the back wall to the middle of the throwing station. This seemed to best simulate standing at a real craps table. For a 14 foot table simply move the throwing station 12 inches further away–1/2 the increase in distance.
Hope that answers your question.
