What is the best footwear for Craps play? During the years I’ve seen quite a few different styles, T-shoes, Loafers, boots and the different. Goldfinger wears the springy heel thingies. Our own Imelda Marcos of the lifts, B-man, has maybe a gazillion varying platform shoes, boots and sandals. I’m waiting for him to walk the strip in 4" lift Flip-flops soon.
Most of us have, on one occasion or another, experienced foot fatigue while waiting our turn with the dice. It’s distracting at best. What type shoe do you wear to alleviate this problem.

I wear a very comfortable wide toed casual shoe. Has a bit of a platform so I can get up over the table. Whatever you choose, make sure you are able to wear them for a few hours in case a hot roll comes your way. 😀

I wear sneakers. I don’t get a lot of height from them but they are certainly comfortable.

Crocs. Not particularly stylish but super comfortable for walking and standing.

Doc is tall enough so doesn’t need more height. I use comfortable tennis shoes. They work best for me.
Rose likes a little more height so wears shoes with a little more heel. It works for her.

I like to wear hip boots when playing with Matt I, Pittboss and members of my family. The BS can get pretty deep.

I just wear the shoes I use every day but I stand on my lap-top case when shooting. It is filled with Styrofoam and it gives me a very soft base to stand on and more importantly it adds 2 1/2 inches to my height.

TommyC.
I guess I will have to put out more BS in order to get you to wear your GQ boots at the craps table when you play with Rose and I !!!!

I wear sneakers. I also stand on my lap-top bag which consist of Styrofoam and 1/4 " plywood. This allows me a extra 3-3/4 ". It is both comfortable and sturdy. 😎
Catch you later!

I have won more money with black dress shoes and a long sleeved shirt that doesn’t restrict my full range of motion for my right arm. When I feel like a winner I play like a winner. Long sleeved shirts have given me the biggest wins. I think it is because I have more feeling in my arm movement and I can see my hand and fingers at point of release. I guess? 😉 I wear Tasso Elba shirts and Alfini shoes. Very comfortable cloths. You may want to try Johnson & Murphy shoes. A lot of doctor’s wear Johnson & Murphy shoes/comfort.

I agree, you need to be comfortable. I wear an extra large polo and comfortable pants with plenty of room. But the question is how do you alleviate the problem of foot fatigue. What are the best shoes in your estimation. Should we all invest in those heel spring trampoline things Goldfinger wears, the Scratchier 1" lift bad ass comfortable things the B-man swears by or something else.
The exercise here is determining what shoe is best. I know that’s very subjective but any and all ideas are helpful …….. and the funny ones are great too.

Since we didn’t have much time at practice to discuss this I’ll do it here. I have 2 to recommend. The first is an ecco laceup kinda standard looking shoe, hard to break in but after, the ultimate in comfort and durablility. This shoe has one drawback and that is the top of the shoe is stitched in and that
tends to come apart. I have had 2 pairs and had both re-sewn at a local shoe shop and both lasted until the soles wore out. Price today $215 but you’ll get
5 or 6 years use.
The second is an abeo sport shoe. About $90 and is very light and comfortable. I am using my first pair and with some diabetes discomfort I find these
very good so far. With the running reinforcement is takes a little getting used to. Break in time about 2 weeks.

No matter what type of shoe you wear at the crap table, add a Dr. Scholl type insole for extra cushion. You can stand for hours in total
comfort. You will wonder why you didn’t put them in your shoes a long time ago. It is a great Day for Craps Throwing. Set44 😀 😀 😀

Look online for Tall Shoes, they have locations in Los Angeles and I think NY City. If you are going to do the elevator shoes go for the max. I have a 2 3/4" lift in a leather sort shoe that isn’t noticeable but wish I had gone for the 4+" boots. Unless they state different the elevator/tall shoes are basically a high heal shoe will a lot of your weight going onto your toes. A lift with a thicker sole is the way to go as far as I am concerned, you get the height and not so much weight on your toes.

If you are tall and do not need the height my son wears a shoe that weighs less then 4 oz. It is five finger and Orange . But you are close to ground level .So if you like walking around bare foot this is the way to go .They do make socks that work with these shoes .

you guys need to look at Chef’s clogs. They give you height (about 2") and they have awesome cushions. These guys are on their feet all day. The clogs are supper comfortable.

Eye sight not what it used to be and I read Chef’s Dogs………No way lady … not looking at some old Chef’s sweaty ass Dogs. Then the light came on and I re-sized the font. Ohhhh, Clogs not Dogs. Interesting suggestion you’ve made. I always travel in clogs for the ease of them in Airports. And comfortable but not for long walks or long days on my feet. Will give the Chef’s one a peruse however.
