I went through the control panel but it won’t let me override the name I first signed up with. I am guessing that it either can’t be done or must be done by an administrator.

First left click on "User Control Panel" at the top of this page, just under Board Index. It looks like:

User Control Panel (0 new messages) • View your posts

That will bring you to your User Control Panel where you want to click on "Profile" tab at the top of the page to the right of the "Overview" tab.

That will bring you to the Edit Profile section of your Profile. On the left hand side of the page, click on the "Edit Account Settings" tab. There are 4 tabs on the left panel and the Edit Account Settings tab is the bottom tab.

The top setting on that page is "Username" towards the center of the page.

Change your Username to your new name and then click "Submit" towards the bottom of the page.

Do not change your email address or password on that page unless you want to change one of them.

I have tried that but every time I hit submit it erases the new name and fills in the old one. Maybe it can’t be changed. Not sure.
