Hoping to draw the local residents who frequented the recently shuttered Atlantic Club Casino Hotel, Caesars Entertainment is rolling out a Local Perks platform for its Total Rewards loyalty program.
Caesars Entertainment, which owns Caesars Atlantic City, Bally’s Atlantic City, Showboat Casino Hotel and Harrah’s Resort, will designate discounts for locals, and credits can be used at area businesses in partnership with Caesars. The company is defining local residents as those who live in Atlantic, Burlington, Camden, Cape May, Cum-berland, Gloucester, Ocean and Salem counties, said Caesars spokesman Jerry Eisenband.
“Local Perks is the ideal way to provide our guests with new benefits while also supporting local shops and businesses in the South Jersey community,” Caesars Regional Vice President of Marketing Jeffrey Boorjian said.
Through Local Perks, Total Rewards credits can be transferred onto gift cards for participating businesses, including Serago Roberts Jewelers in Northfield, Angelo’s Fairmount Tavern in Atlantic City, Casel’s Marketplace in Margate and The Crab Trap in Somers Point. Points are converted at a two-to-one rate.
Atlantic Club shut down in January amid a bankruptcy sale with a joint bid by Caesars and Tropicana Entertainment. Caesars owns the building, but has no plans to operate it as a casino. Atlantic Club had made a push to market the property as a more affordable locals casino.
