Talked with a friend of mine the other day about how the casinos are changing. He is a dealer at one of the larger casinos and has worked at a few other well know ones. He was telling me about one casinos bad reputation for comps and how it caused it to be bought out by another casino. They didn’t want this bad reputation. Wow. He told me that the casinos are being pushed to have x number of rolls per table per hour for craps play. Some casinos are not down sizing due to money issues but due to not being perceived as a monopoly in certain areas of the country. He’s loaded with information. 😉

I just don’t pick up the dice and often make comments like "there are still bets being placed". I will slow it down to my pace.

Then you will know how fast That casino is for that crew working . It depends on the crew more then the rollers some times .
Some times it is like craps 101 going on other times it seems like I am taking to long to set .But when the roll gets long you can really tell the good dealers from others .
Good Rolling. 🙂 🙂

A good example is one dealer will know all the bets coming into the prop area before they come in while the next dealer has no clue until a dealer tells him what the dollars are for .
One dealer will give you your win on a come bet . ( ALL ) While another dealer will place your come bet back and give you the rest of your winning . These things all take time to do .
I think that even if you were the only one at the table rolling it would be hard to roll 240 rolls in one hour .Try it at home if you don’t believe me .
I have seen rollers hit the back wall with the dice 3,4 and 5 times at times before shaking the dice then throwing them which takes time .
As the roll gets longer and longer the roll per hr. will go down .
The casino would like you to get to roll every 15 or 30 min when you are on a full table . 🙂 🙂
Good Rolling.

Wild conjecture on my part, but it makes the number more realistic.

Rolls per hour, hands per hour, and roulette spins per hour are very important to casinos. That is the way they figure what their drop will be and then their profit
