They wouldn't let me shoot the dice

Spread the love

I shot the dice at the first table SL2 position. Tables $25.00. I tossed the dice and won plenty of money. My shot was the best it ever looked and number after number. Glued together in the air and flat to surface. Dice landing about 4 to 7 inches from back wall. The dice were very close to each other after landing and dying. My wife snuck up on me and said she was watching me shoot the dice. She said," that’s the best I have ever saw you shoot". I told her that I only sevened out because I forced the shot. I knew better. I left the table because I wanted a shorter table. I had in my mind on braking 90 numbers or the world record. I wasn’t there for the money. My shot looked the best it ever looked and I knew if it were ever possible I might be able to do it tonight at this casino. No bragging, I was doing it. What I was taught in class was being played out at the table. I found a spot at SL2 on a shorter table and the pitboss wouldn’t let me shoot the dice. I went home mad and disguised. 👿

Don’t shoot there when that guy is on duty. Pick another shift time and see if it is the whole casino or only that one guy. If it is the whole casino you cross that one off your list.

Great advice by Skinny, if you are smart you will listen.

We all have casino’s we will not play at.

This is really messed up. I was just having fun.

There is always another casino. Just move on and don’t take in personally its part of the game. You may want to take a break when this happens and relax to get back in the mood. Skinny is correct.

What is so silly by the casinos doing this type of "not letting you shoot the dice," is the fact that the most important thing for the casinos is THEY NEED WINNERS. If no one ever won no one would play. They simply need to win more than the players over time—they do and they always will. So what’s the problem.

True story that we read several years ago— on a busy weekend night several dice controllers/advantage players were playing and winning like crazy. They took several thousand dollars off the table as did a lot of chicken feeders. About 1 am the dice controllers went to bed. They got up early the next morning to head to the airport and went by the craps pit. Some of the same crew was still there. The above dice controllers asked the pit boss if the craps table was still down since last night. His reply, "hell no, after you left the table went cold. The same people stayed here and some are still at the table. They lost all their money plus a lot more waiting for the table to get hot again. We are way ahead."

This is typical. Why they sweat us we will never know. We attract ploppies to the table like crazy and over time their play will more than offset our winnings as they bet too much, make bets with a high house advantage, and of course drink too much. Also a lot of the ploppies play will be when there are no dice controllers at the table. The casino will always win over time—just not from us.

Just a few thoughts..

I’m not going to take it personal, but I am very disappointed in this casino. I will keep my Sicilian Blood in check.

What is the whole story about table2 ?
Did you get the dice at all or was it a no throw from get go ?
Did you not hit the back wall or what .
The pit critter had to much coffee before work or was it end of shift for him ?
Did you pick up your tip when you left .Remember the pass line bet is a contract bet but can be taken down when they void the contract .
Just some thoughts .
Good Rolling. 🙂 🙂

I had money on passline and fire. Four other shooters shot before me. The stickman shoved the dice pass me. I was told I couldn’t shoot by the female pitboss. The dealer infront of me was talking to her before she told me no. The dealer infront of me has always been trouble for me. He’s the guy who puts the stick infront of me or says stupid stuff to me when I’m shooting. I don’t usually go to the table he is on. Sometimes I will have a good roll going and he shows up as stickman and he isn’t even one of the crew from that table. I don’t really like talking about it.

Skinny & Mr. Finesse, I will try a different shift and see what happens. If it’s the casino, I will cross it off my list and put it in my little black book. 🙂

At one of the casinos I go to I heard the crew and pit talk . They were saying that if x pit person was here that the 4 sec. rule wound be in place .Some of the crew did en know what they were talking about . So i listened to them explain what it was .
The pit person said that this other pit person tells everybody that they have 4 sec. to throw the dice once they receive them period . Setter or no setter .
So a lot depends on the pit person and not really the casino per say .
They talk when they go on breaks and more then likely that guy has heard that you tip other dealers but not him .Or he just does not like setters period . Just play when he is not working or go to another table .
Good Rolling. 😀 😀

Thanks Finisher. Will go back on another shift and see what happens. Finisher, I do find they give less trouble to the people who bet on every player.

I went back to the casino on a different shift and wasn’t given any trouble. The dealers and pitboss were polite and quite courteous. I was never treated so good at a craps table. So, it’s not the casino. It’s just those scum bag idiots at that particular table last trip. Well guys, I wasn’t able to produce the out come that I wanted or desired at the tables today. I was winning at one moment and losing big before I could turn my head to ask the waitress for a Coca Cola. I bet on a few other shooters after the 5 count was completed. I lost money on those shooters. I shot the dice three times while at the casino for two hours. My first time shooting went something like this: I shot and hit two sevens and then established a point of 10 (6,4). I shot again and hit hard 10. The table went wild with people high fiving and making noise. I started to get nervous and distracted by my own thoughts. I calmed myself down and focused on what I needed to do. I knew my shot was off. I wasn’t hitting the spot/ bowl at the other end of the table. The dice looked beautiful and glued together. They weren’t even off 1/16 of an inch. Picture perfect dice and level in the air after release. One problem, I was hitting one inch before the rubber pyramid. I hit two other point numbers and then sevened out. I sevened out due to one die rolling and being stopped by a stack of chips. It would have been 5,1 and the point. On the next go around it was the same thing but I only hit one point and then the seven showed. Those darn chips were stopping one of my dies and causing me to seven out. On my third attempt, I was tired from the long wait to get the dice. I came out with one seven and two elevens. Then came an ace deuce. Then came a point of hard six. Then came the seven. I went home. I was tired and not feeling it. I won $30.00 total. I guess it’s better then losing money. 🙂

Eagle Eye Hmmm 2 hrs at table and left with 30.00 more that’s 15.00 per hr for some thing that you are enjoying I hope .In side were it is cool and you can order a drink that is brought to you for a buck not bad . It just depends on how you look at it .It was better then last trip so that is a start .
If they like people who bet on every player then tell them that you have a system .You only bet if the point is 6 or 8 and you bet the other number .Then just try that on two players and if you loose tell them that your system is not working and you are thinking of a new one and don’t bet on the next few players .
I hope that you can win a lot of money on that one bet it could happen .Just remember that if they start rolling hard 6s and 8s to not get excited and bet to much .Stick to taking 3 wins then up a unite till roll is over .KISS Keep it safe and simple .
I think the five count works good . I don’t use it tho . I some times wait longer then 5 and some times i do a come bet after a crap number or the dice go off table . Some times I just place one number . Mostly I just do what I feel like doing . I have had dealers say you are new at this . Until I throw the dice then they say nothing .
I think most of the dealers know about the 5 count by now . So it seems like a give away about how much you know .I some times ask them what is the best bet .I like the old dealers who were like Carney people and had lots of talk for each roll .
Just play your game and don’t let them bother you .
Good Rolling. 🙂 🙂

No, last trip I won a lot of money. Hell, I was thinking I might be able to break the 90 mark on number of tosses. I’m going to practice more and stay away from the casino a little while. Practice, Practice, Practice. 😀 I think you are so on about playing your own game Finisher. I’ve been very good about tuning people out when shooting but I still think about some of the things said. I try to leave my emotions at the door. I try to make them pay for opening there mouths and all the mistreatment at times while playing at the casino. I still remember a time when one of the pitbosses told me bs while I was trying to shoot the dice and I came back with a hardway of the point. He shut his mouth and didn’t say a word after that. I get satisfaction and self gratification from beating the h.. out of the casinos. They shut up when you can come right back with the number. It’s enjoyable!
