Questions about Dice weighting

Spread the love

This past weekend, the Princess and I did a "spur of the moment" trip to AC on Saturday.

We both had some good rolls …. but no big ones and no killer point-7’s. Basically, we treaded water …until 2AM Sunday morning…..we came back to our hotel and we played at that Casino. It is the Casino where I’ve hit 11 fire bets in 2013 and the Princess hit 6 of them. We picked up the dice to shoot and we both felt (and gave each other a weird look at come out roll time) that the dice seemed "heavier" and on my first come-out roll one die really lagged on the shot (should have been a sign to me) and I went out with a 6-1 combo after 3 rolls. The Princess also 7-out with a 6-1 after 2 rolls.

We moved to another table, and the two of us went out AGAIN TWICE with a 6-1 combo after 3 rolls. We moved to the 3rd table, and it happened again to us with a 6-1. One of my buddies, a CF-er, also 7-out with a 6-1. We stopped shooting and then started to watch all the rolls on the table…..we watched 25 rolls go by us and noted that either a "6" or a "1" was always showing up on the roll and we actually counted 18 times out of 25. And, of course the 6-1 together was ending the roll. Even the come-out rolls were 6-1.

We have been wondering if this Casino informed (thru video evidence) their dice manufacturer about the long rolls and the fire bets and of course, shooters using the "hardway" set. The dice "seem" to be weighted to bring out more 6’s and 1’s ??? Are dice companies developing weighting technologies to neutralize controlled shooters that use the hardway set???

Makes me wonder are they "cheating" ???

Remember, this Casino is located in the State whereby the Governor stated that the Casinos can "govern" themselves

Sounds to me, you could use such consistency to your advantage.
Do a DC (Don’t Come) bet after the come-out seven.
Beat them at their crooked game?

lets see if you play the pass line the house has a built in house edge of about 1.4 percent that is a guaranteed winner for them and if you play the don’t pass there built in winner is about 1.38 percent, why would they give up a guaranteed winner, if they gaff the dice to seven more often it takes away there advantage on the don’t side of the dice, why?

In our humble opinion, we agree with Brothelman. Why would any casino purposely use loaded dice when they have the advantage over random rollers from the get go. The manufacturer could have made a bad bunch of dice but a casino knowing using loaded dice could lose a very lucrative license. The casinos have too much of a good deal to cheat. The casinos have enough problems with all of the competition in neighboring states. They simply don’t have to cheat.

Go back another time and this may not happen at all. If it does, leave and don’t roll there. There are plenty of casinos in AC.

Just a thought. Maybe playing at 2 am in the morning had something to do with the off axis dice? Those dice get heavy when you are tired.

😆
ThomasH that was funny

I don’t know about anybody else, but I love heavy dice. They react better and seem to land softer. Different houses have different size and weights in the dice they use. I have played a couple of places in Vegas where different shifts have different dice. Whether they be larger, heavier or even a different shade of red but I have never played at a place where all the dice aren’t consistent with each other during that particular shift. And I have to agree with Doc and Brothelman, there is way too much risk to cheat the customer. Does it happen? I’m sure it does but to use loaded dice could put you out of business.

—I’d agree with you except the same thing took place on Sunday afternoon on one of our favorite tables. We left after two shots (both were 6-1 seven-outs) and went to another table. The new table played much better, and the table that we left, everyone was moaning and groaning from all the 7-outs. Keep in mind that we go to this specific casino 2x per month and sometimes we stay for 3-4 days. Everyday, the dice roll "different" on the SAME table — that’s telling me something. And, when comments are made, the pit bosses just kind of chuckle about it — just seems like the old days when the Casino commission was MORE involved and permanently located at the Casinos, the rolls were longer — even the CF-ers looked good

As a player you have one advantage over the casino. You get to decide what bets to make, and how much to make them for.

If you think that the dice are "gaffed" then bet into it. Doing that gives you the massive edge over the casino.

Hop the 6-1, bet a world bet every roll. You can’t lose!

ps But then again, what if the dice are not "gaffed"?

Have you ever had any of the advanced gtc folk look at your shoot, are you shure it is the same all the time?

Give it some time unless you want to play the don’t.

Taking refresher in March 14 — took primer in March 13

In 2013, I’ve hit 14 fire bets and had 2 rolls of 60+, a 50+ and a few 40’s — so I’m more concerned about dice foolishness at that Casino than my shot, especially since my girlfriend (The Princess) is also 7-ing out with a 6-1 combo like me (on the same table) — so, it’s a good barometer of what’s taking place, in our opinion

As I said before, 4 days of play at that place over a long weekend and the dice roll differently each day on the SAME table ???? — just seems weird

Over the years there have been several posters alleging "Fixed" dice at this or that Casino in numerous venues. Regardless of where it is around the country all the Casinos are highly regulated to ward off just this thing. Doc and the rest are correct when they ask why would an operation give up the advantage over the player in the first place. I would ask why they would chance their gaming licence at worst or the large fines that would surely result from their being caught by regulators.

if they are so worried about the "Dice Setters" it’s far easier to establish House Rules that prohibit setting. because first and foremost we are setters. Then there is no issue with regulators and no issue with those that pick them up and just throw.

As i’ve said before — this Casino is in the State whereby the Governor said a few years ago that the casinos can "govern" themselves — basically the "regulators" are not present 100% of the time to enforce their oversight responsibilities.

When we go this Casino, we watch very carefully how the dice are rolling — one day we saw a CF-er shoot quite a few 6/8’s — we jumped in and decided to play and wouldn’t you know,The Priness hit a 6-point fire bet for $5,000 each …. NICE !!
