Hanging out on a Sunday

Spread the love

Thanks to BallMark (Ronnie B) we were able to get together yesterday Jan 25, 2014 with some of the locals that live around LA to have a practice session and general fun time.

We were even joined by Vera that lives in San Diego, about two hours away. She joined us even after her car froze half way up to LA. Now that’s dedication!

We probably ate as much as we shot, especially because Richard M. has this great BBQ chicken recipe that tastes like Memphis dry rub, that I cant get enough of.

Jim T, an Oct. graduate of the primer class got his hands dirty dealing for all of us, BoxcarBoris cracked us up and Tommy2Names kept us motivated.

We were trying some different betting techniques and betting strategies to try and improve our game. But it’s always fascinating how a bunch of men and women can stand around a 12 foot oblong table handling worthless plastic chips and throwing two celluloid cubes for five to six hours and still be exited.

You gotta love da game!!

Sounds like a great day, wish I was there.

sounds like fun, who knows maybe that is the way the
game should be played.

I only have one question…. who was the real "pit Boss" and was any heat
placed on those damn dice setters.

You know, it doesn’t often get mentioned on the list, but at least in my experience, practice is both a rewarding and pleasurable activity. Even without casinos, I think dice practice would be a fun activity. No, I’m not going so far as to say dice control would be fullfilling without a place to test it, but I think it is great to have something you can enjoy doing. I use it daily to wind down and focus on something besides the problems of the work world.

For now, I can’t think of better way to spend a Sunday. Thank you all who took the time to be there. It was an awesome time. Don’t’ forget the DJ’s tunes.
We’ll do it again!

Last Sunday’s get together was a lot of fun with a great bunch of GTC folks. Glad I was able to be there and hope we can do it again soon. And as always I learned a little by watching others and it helped – the saga continues. And I’ll bring the chicken.
