The Diceman Cometh . . .

My experience has been to throw a low arc on bouncy tables. A low arc requires a harder throw to reach the end of the table so experiment with throwing from S 1.5. Perhaps on a come out roll, if there are no chips blocking you, try dropping the dice in the Pass area, not as close to the end wall. Try these during practice. Good luck.

You may also have to come to grips that the table may not be condusive to advantage play and just not go there. Sadly, That’s true for my nearest casino… If conditions are not optimal, bet low or don’t play at all.

Both responses address the issue. Here is what I recommend:
First and most importantly you have to practice on a bouncy rig or table. You can make your practice rig or table bouncy by buying a piece of felt and placing in the landing zone area. Then you must practice, analyze and make adjustments there. You cannot do this at the playing table for the first time.
A couple of months ago, I saw a trend at places that I play that led me to believe that I might be seeing more bouncy tables than I had in the past. I bought the felt, covered the landing zone and started practicing.
My throw looked entirely different on the newly created bouncy surface.
To get a result from my toss that I desired, I had to tweak my toss. The grip was the same but I had to eliminate completely my back-swing, which was not much to begin with. This softened my dice enough that I was getting a good landing and soft bounce to the back wall.
I also had to adjust my trajectory to a low (lower than the rail) release. And I had to do it all very slow compared to what I was used to doing. I also had to adjust my release point so the trajectory was lower. And I had to be damn accurate with the landing spot for the dice to react on axis. It was very hard to do and still is, even after months of practice.
The last thing I worried about was the dice set. Recently I have been practicing with the 3-V set, and even the 2-V to see if my results are any better. Still analyzing that one.

I avoid the bouncy tables here.

GameDay, I use the 3v and 2v sets with decent success. You will see an advantage with different numbers from each of these sets, just bet into them.
The 3v I use when the point is 4, 6, 8, or 10. I throw a lot of 5’s from this set. The 2v I set for the 5 and 9 but throw a lot of 8’s with this set. Sometimes I use the 3v if I am having trouble rolling a 5 from the 2v and use the 2v if I am suffering trying to make an 8 from the 3v.

People remember that if the dice are not staying in a 4 to 8 inch area after hitting the wall you are ;not influencing them at all.

Are you dice doing this?

Now they do not have to do that every shoot, but the more they do it the better the chance you have of the shoot working, if you can not do this on that table then the fact is that the table is not for you, that does ;not mean that in the future you will not be able to develop a shoot that will work at this place, it just means that you are not ready to play there yet.

I live in Maryland and go to Delaware occasionally and here are my thoughts:

Delaware has 3 Casinos:

–Casino #1 (middle of the State) – I DO NOT play at all —- 16 footers and BOUNCY

–Casino #2 – (off of I-95) — tolerable — 12 footers –some bouncy ….one table with "slippery" synthetic "fake" felt…NO FIRE bet (we hate that)

–Casino #3 – (South in Delaware on the way to Salisbury, MD) — 12 footers –bouncy ….tough to shoot on….i hit one 5-point fire bet there, but not much else. Lots of CF-ers too, so it’s tough to win. The Princess and I receive $300 matchplay each and $325 per month in food comps, so we just go for that. We BARELY play any big $$$, just the fire bet and a 6 & 8. We play VERY LITTLE on the CF-ers. We struggle there, but don’t lose much $$$, problem is, we cannot shoot well enough there to win because of the bouncy tables AND the small straight edge of the back wall — it’s almost a "round" table (CRAZY)

—the Princess and I get $100 3x per month for a total of $300 each. And, I receive $200 food per month and she gets $125. We had some tough losses there during the summer which accounts for the nice $$$ match and food….but, now we barely play any real $$$ there at all. Most likely, in 3 months or so, our food and match play will be cut down quite a bit….but, we don’t care as it’s incredibly frustrating to shoot there. But, I did hit a 4-point fire bet there last Saturday. That 4-pointer was my 8th 4-pointer since taking the class.

I remember a day when I used to raise hell with people for posting about his kind of stuff but no one seemed to care then, as a matter of fact I some times caught hell for saying anything,lmao

Bman you have changed for the better with the little time that I have know you . But you are still right about a lot of things that some may not like to hear .I too have changed a little over the years since joining GTC and taking the class.
Lately some of the posts are not were they should be . O well life goes on .
